I sat down sobbing. The floor was wet with water and blood. I sat for a long time and tried to think straight but couldn't. So I stopped thinking and stood up. I quickly drained the blood and flushed the blades down a toilet. I rinsed my arms off and pulled my sleeves over them. There was a little bit of blood on my shirt but it was black so it didn't matter. I tried to fix my hair but failed. I looked presentable enough to go outside though.
I cracked the door open and checked to make sure there was nobody outside. I was confused when I saw the girl sitting on the ground across from me. I had expected her to leave me like I had told her to.
She looked up at me the scrambled to her feet. Before I could do anything she lunged at me and I half expected her to slap me. But she pulled my head into her shoulder, wrapping her arms around my neck and pushing her nose into the corner of my neck and my shoulder. I stiffened a little but regained my senses and hugged her back, placing a hand on her lower back and an arm around her shoulders. I pressed my face against her shoulder and tried not to start sobbing again.
She pulled away, just a little bit, far too soon, and said, "I am so sorry." And there wasn't sympathy or falseness in her voice. Her words we genuine. I wanted to cry again but she leaned up and kissed me. I kissed her back. Her lips were soft and wet and pushed against mine.
"Oi, Hermione!"
I stepped back away from her. My eyes widened as I looked at Potter and Weasley walking towards us. I felt like a deer in headlights. I took my hands away from Hermione and backed away from her. I didn't know what to do. . .so I ran away.
