Drat! Potter and Weasley are back and it's been hard to see Hermione. We can't let anyone know. I just want her to ditch them, it was so easy for me to leave my friends, but she refuses. I listened to the iPod she gave me. Specifically Journey and the Beatles. I also really like My Chemical Romance and REM. I told her about it the last time we talked and she squealed with joy, literally. She also took the ipod to charge it. We planned to meet the next day.

I waited for an hour by the lake but she didn't come. At first I was worried (Hogwarts being the danger zone that it was) but then I got mad. I know that she has other friends but it seemed unfair that I had to ditch my friends and she didn't. She was literally the only thing that I had.

We met in the Room of Requirement the next day. She was late by ten minutes. The room was a sitting room, with couches and chairs and a roaring fire in the fireplace.

I sat on the couch bitterly planing on what to say. When she came in she looked happy but she saw my expression and her face fell. Hermione sat down next to me.

"Are you-" she started but I already knew what she was going to say.

"No." I snapped and she sighed at me.

"I'm sorry that i didn't show up yesterday but I-"

"I don't care."

"Please don't be mad. I was helping Harry and Ron wi-"

"I dont care!" I yelled, standing up. she flinched and I thought of my father standing up from the table to beat me. i sat back down. "Why don't you just ditch them? I left all of my friends!" I was still angry but I lowered my voice.

"I never asked you to do that! And you can't ask me to!" She was getting angry to but there were tears gathering in her eyes.
