The Sinister Blade shuttered and curled up tighter but to no avail could she keep warm. The bitter cold had turned her skin a light blue along with the blood that had frosted on her skin. Her instincts told her to get up, but what was the point. She was locked in there anyway. Even the cold was on his side and even the slightest movement would tie her down again.

She clenched her hand that rested on the freezing stone with little strength she had left. Her will was gone; she had failed. Seeing her hand once placed warmly on Ashe's was now just a part of her that she could barely feel. Katarina stared and felt the insidious chill of winter consume her body to another painful shutter. She inhaled slowly feeling only the ghost of a sharp pain on her ribs and the aches from lying on the floor.

The night was quiet and the sounds of shuffling disturbed the peace of the forest around the pair. Their feet tapped the ground quickly and lightly brushing past roots and moss that covered the forest floor. Katarina shone a smile next to her brother before leaping over him with an elegant twirl and shunpo'ing past him.

"Gotta be faster than that, Talon!"

The man grunted and hurried his pace. She was too fast, like her skilled father was. Talon saw him in her, her smile, those bright eyes, the strong will. He came to a halt by the side of a tree, directly under a patch of sunlight emitting from the sky above. Looking around he saw no sign of the young redhead, only the distant chirping of birds and the calm silence of a breeze above.

"Katarina?" Talon called. He raised his voice the second time but still no answer. It was a beautiful place unlike the dark, polluted streets of Noxus. The bright light of the afternoon sun and the crisp colors of summer threatened his face deep into the large cowl he wore but all the more growing calm to the flourishing forest around him. He had never seen such a place in his life, and stroked the moss with his boot to examine the plant life closely.

"Katarina, I don't have time for your foolish acts. You know better than this! Your father wouldn't appreciate it if he were here." he said disapprovingly.

"So what." he heard from up above him. Talon shot his head up to scope the bright treetops and shaded his eyes with a hand. The light blinded him from viewing the details and didn't notice The Sinister Blade staring down at him, crouching like a panther watching her prey. "My father's gone, Talon. He wouldn't suspect anything and either way you don't know him like I do."

The hooded man caught a glimpse of steel and green eyes looking to him and retained his vision to that area. "While we are here we are working. He would not want you to be playing around like this if you're on duty."

The metal flashed and Katarina was gone from her position which made his eyes roll. Of course she wouldn't listen. She never did to him.

"OOF" he grunted upon feeling a weight knock him to the ground. Talon lied on the floor sprawled out like a bear rug while his head spun dizzy for a moment. He shook the confusion and felt another on top of him (sitting on him) with her back arched and expression satisfied. "You know, for an assassin you sure have bad reflexes."

Talon prodded himself up with his elbows and tossed a giggling Katarina to the side of him to have her rest down in a bed of moss. "Get...off...me!"
