Sinister (girlxgirl)

Author's Note:

I hope you've all enjoyed Sinister! This actually took me two months to plan and was first published on Fanfiction.com April 4th, 2014. It finished in the new year Feb 23, 2015 and has since then reached over 40k views!! The reason why I update this note so late is that I'd like to announce the sequel to this story that will officially come live here on Wattpad starting today! It's currently in production (as many of my stories) and so far it's had over 8k views on Fanfiction.com! Yay!

Some facts about Sinister that may have been unclear/unnoticed:

-Yes, there are many spelling/grammar errors. I plan to polish this in the near future!

-Tryndamere's rage causes him to be aggressive, and thus creates an abusive relationship to Ashe since they're married.

-I made Katarina and Miss Fortune friends because they both share a few qualities, primarily the red hair and Bilgewater skins. Plus, Kat needs some friends and why wouldn't she be with Miss Fortune anyway? Especially since Riot placed new lore for her in the recent Bilgewater events, the sequel will have a more in depth look with her! ;)

-A lot of people think that Ashe and Katarina are a horrible pairing and that it shouldn't even be real. Then why glorify Garen and Kat along with Tryndamere and Ashe? Though Riot likes to tease, there's no real evidence that Katarina LIKES Garen though it's obvious that he has a crush. She's a woman of Noxus and is devoted to her country till death. She could never actually fall in love with the enemy or else it would be absolute treason and would go against everything she devoted herself to. As for Ashe, they are only in a politically induced marriage because they wanted to unify tribes and make it a city-state, able to join the original League of Legends.

-A LOT of thought has been placed into this story. More so, a shit ton of lore. Yes, I've done my research and have linked everything together. That's why this story makes sense, because everything derives from the lore with a bit of a twist to make it into romance.

-In the beginning, Katarina has a change of heart which makes her run head on to Jinx's rocket. Why? Because she can. Also, because Ashe saved her and she's a softie for returning the favor. :P

-Soraka's original purpose was to heal Ashe, though I added her along with Rengar because they were requests from friends who liked these champions a lot. Then I had to see how to add them into the story to make sense, and it actually helped to create the ending!

-I used a bit of Katarina's old model and her new one. The throwing knives are like her old ones, bearing the S but her outfit is with the same jacket as her old and the rest of her new splash.

-Katarina's father is this story used to be the grand general before Boram Darkwill and Swain. It was when Noxus was a more decent place and when Demacia and them were pretty chill. Though there were disputes, there was no true hatred until Swain took over.

-Her personal struggle is dealing with her father's supposed death. Katarina adored her father as did Talon after he became 'adopted' into the Du Couteau family. She'll continue struggling with this for a while but it may change later. Also, being a Noxian citizen is hard in the League. They are hated by all the conflicts and battles Swain's had and so the impression of evil has been given to every Noxian, even Katarina. She doesn't like this sort of 'bullying' behavior, and she can't escape it since everyone knows what she is. Being called a Noxian in Sinister has developed into a sort of insult since it's just so bad to the other champions with what they've all been through with Swain's rule.

-Cassiopeia and Katarina don't get along well. Because she became cursed, Katarina lost respect for her with her betrayal (with her old/new lore) since her personality and attitude changed so much. Talon and her remain close as ever, even after her father disappeared. Their kinship never died and actually became stronger as time progressed. Part of Talon's reason for joining the league was because of Katarina and his vow to her father in protecting her. Why did Marcus ask of that? You can find out in the sequel ;)
