While Seonghwa was preparing their food in the kitchen, he noticed something strange. He crouched down beside the object embedded in the cupboard door. He gripped the knife handle and tugged at it which came free without much-needed force. He held it up at eye level as he stood up then turned his head to look in the direction of the bathroom where he could hear the shower water running.

Hongjoong must have gotten angry yesterday, that probably explains why a knife was embedded in the cupboard door. He'll have to ask him about yesterday, especially why he had a panic attack. Seonghwa was concerned.

The food was ready when Hongjoong exited the bathroom 10 minutes later and they sat on the couch, Hongjoong keeping his distance like he always did.

"Why was there a knife in the cupboard door?" Seonghwa questioned and turned his head, eyeing the frowning man curled up on the couch beside him, holding his bowl of food against his chest just below his chin so none of the food spilled.

"If you think I'm angry about it, I'm not. I'm concerned and confused."

Hongjoong remained quiet and Seonghwa waited patiently for him to speak up. When the seconds turned into minutes, he realised Hongjoong wasn't going to say anything as he continued eating, head facing forward and not acknowledging Seonghwa. A sigh escaped Seonghwa's nose and his lips turned down slightly.

After he finished eating, Seonghwa made sure to hide the chain before the repairmen came over.

Around noon, Hongjoong was put in a small, almost empty, storage room downstairs and the door was locked. The reason he was inside the room was because of the repairman who was currently over, doing his job to fix the window Hongjoong busted. He snickered at the thought. He did that. He wanted to pat himself on the back... and maybe he did maybe he didn't, you'll never know.

Hongjoong leaned back against the door with a low thud then slowly slid down, sitting on his butt on the cold cemented floor and tilted his head back. His arms came up to wrap around his legs, hugging them against his chest and a sigh left his mouth. He stared at the bland ceiling and then his head moved away from the door to inspect the room.

There were shelves lining one wall and a few boxes on some of the shelves. Growing curious, Hongjoong moved from his spot, walking over to one of the boxes and looking over it to see if there was anything written on it. He turned it until he saw words;

'Dad's Box'

Dad's Box? Seonghwa's dad?

Growing curious, Hongjoong grabbed onto the folds in the box to lift it but halted for a second to look over at the door to make sure there were no footsteps outside and he pulled it off the shelf. He almost went down with it once it was off the rack.

What the hell was inside the box to make it this heavy?

Setting it down with a thump that made the contents shake and rattle, Hongjoong sat down with his legs crossed, hands resting on top of the box, ready to lift the folds. Untucking it, the first thing he saw was some foam then when that was removed, a magazine of cars underneath met his eyes. There were many magazines about cars, old and newer ones; the latest being from 2008.

Seonghwa's father must have really liked his cars if he had at least 20 magazines. Hongjoong's face went red at the sight of a porn magazine.

Not surprising...

He set those aside, making sure the one with the naked girl on the front was underneath a car journal. Sifting through the box, Hongjoong pulled out many things such as an old model of a Mustang, a book on birds, a few stuffed toys and a black, ring box. He grabbed it and opened it.
