LEE MINHO.

"Hey Yonghee, have you seen my water bottle? I thought I just left it on the table here, but it appears I'm wrong..."

A muffled snort sounds from behind one of the privacy screens placed around the classroom and I immediately realize where my water disappeared to.

"Han Jisung. if you'd like to maintain homeostasis, I suggest with great enthusiasm that you give me back my stuff."

"What's homeostasis of all things got to do with me stealing your water?" The squirrel boy pops up indignantly from behind the screen, holding the bottle out begrudgingly for me to take as he walks towards me.

"Because, child, I had the strong urge to shove you into an air fryer just now."

"Child? CHILD?! I'M NOT EVEN THAT MUCH YOUNGER THAN Y-"

Just then, Jinki enters our space and takes one look at Yonghee's perplexed expression before sighing exasperatedly.

"Just what exactly are you two trying to kill each other over now?" He questions, and I take it upon myself to cut off his train of thought before he can continue.

"We're just playing around Jinki, I swear! I was teasing Jisung, that's all."

My brows furrow slightly as I realize what I've just done.

Did I just stick up for him... in front of everyone?! God Minho, could you make it any more obvious?!

I clear my throat subtly, before adding a "'Cause he deserved it" under my breath, making sure it's loud enough for Jinki to hear and roll his eyes, but not quite loud enough to reach the ears of my co-star.

Close save.

Jinki mutters something incoherent before leaving, shaking his head all the while. I turn to look at Yonghee, but he simply flashes me a look of confusion before leaving as well.

Oh god, now we're alone.

I turn my head nervously in Jisung's general direction, but quickly compose myself as I realize he's blushing madly. This could have gone much worse, so honestly I believe making him blush mightn't be the worst outcome.

Pfft, I'm too good at this.

"Asshat!"

I... retract that statement.

I finally meet his eyes, noticing that instead of their usual fire, they seem to be shining... shining at me and he's giggling out of embarrassment.

Oh my god.

I try to avoid obviously freaking out over the fact that for once, Han Jisung isn't mad at me. And not only is he not mad at me, his eyes are sparkling and they're sparkling...

Because. Of. Me.

I think this might be the best time to act on phase two of my very unstable plan to make Jisung fall for me. I read online somewhere that enemies can only fall for each other once they get over the barrier of tension and lighten up a little.
