(Fun / Serious / In between / I don't even know)
Purely satirical and just for fun. DO NOT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY.

Welcome to another episode of . . .
TWWWL!
(Insert the theme song that I haven't come up with yet <3)
So, yeah, we've all been through it. It's confusing, annoying, and frustrating as hell. It leaves you wondering Why? Why on earth does this keep happening?
Let me, once again, lay it out for only-readers .
*
THE EXTREMELY UNEVEN RATIO OF READS TO VOTES:
So, you decide to check your amazing Wattpad story after spending weeks randomly voting and commenting on, like, five million small Wattpaders' stories. You open it, go to your profile, and then go :
Cause you see this :
You can't believe it. This is the greatest day of your life. Until you see this :
Buzzkill.True story, only slightly exaggerated ;)

So, bottom line, views does not equal votes.
What are votes again?
Votes are basically like, likes. If someone likes a work, they'll press that little star to vote. Voting is very useful, cause, the more votes, the more likely it is that you'll be promoted by the algorithm.
But, why, P? Why does this keep on happening? Why do I get lesser votes than reads?
Well, I suppose it's because the actual readers sometimes forget to vote? And, like I mentioned before (If you don't know, take a step back, and go to the chapter titled Reads, reads, reads! ), not everyone who views it is an actually reader. Also, remember, it's very, very easy to get reads. You just need people to click. They're basically giving you reads unconsciously. As for votes, well, they have to press the button themselves, and not all people do that.
So, how can I get votes?
I feel like that's simple. I'm just gonna say the same thing I said last week -
Vote bribery:
"I suppose many wattpaders do/get this, knowingly or unknowingly. It's when you vote on someone's book, a get votes back on your book, because the other person feels like this is some kind of "Thank-you-for-the-votes-i'm-paying-you-back-or-something" ? This doesn't happen all the time, though."
- P, last week.
So, yeah, you vote on something without reading it. Genuine.
In all honesty, it works for like, only 60 percent of the time.
v4v:
So, you make a deal with another wattpader, that is you agree to vote on that person's stuff if they vote on your stuff.
Basically read for read, but with votes.
Does it work?
Hell yeah, when it comes to getting votes, at least.

I can't really think of anything else related to votes. If I do think of something, I'll probably update this chapter in the future :)
Just like with reads, the votes don't really make your stories bad or anything. Why? Well, there's just so many ways in which you can, like, bribe a vote. As for genuine votes, well, those are tougher, but you'll get there :) It's just that, for some people, it takes longer than for others.
Well, that's it for this week. A bit short, but I'm cool with that.
If you paid attention, you'd know what to do now ;)
(VOTE. JUST DO IT.)
Comment, if you want. Yeah, guess that's finished. Here's another delicious thing:
I'll see you next week on TWWWL!

The Whimsical, Woeful Wattpad Life
Random(DISCONTINUED) I haven't had an account on Wattpad for long and already I've seen things that have shocked me to my core. So, I thought it would be fun to document the things I see on Wattpad such as cliches, tropes, experiences, just Wattpad stuff...
