*Riley's Pov*

Riley: I want to go back in there.
Griffin: I know, but the last thing we need to do right now is argue. I don't want him in there with her either, but if that can stop a argument then we have to let him.
Riley: I hate when you're right.
Griffin: now you said you have to call Josh, so go ahead.
Riley: oh yeah.

I forgot that I was going to call Josh to talk about the other night. I been was supposed to talk to him about it, but it totally slipped my mind. Then the accident happened, and I completely forgot. I went outside the cafeteria part, and sat on the floor and called Josh.

Josh: hello?
Riley: hey, remember that time you, and Mads got into?
Josh: huh?
Riley: it was the day of the red carpet thing.
Josh: oh yeah I remember. What about it?
Riley: what exactly happened?
Josh: look, I don't know if I'm-
Riley: just tell me!
Josh: alright. Mads got a text message from an unknown number saying they were watching her. She got scared, and I asked her was she okay, and what's wrong, and she flipped out on me. She apologized though, but I still don't know who it was.
Riley: ok, thank you.
Josh: is she awake?
Riley: no, sadly-
Josh: damn...alright I really have to go I'll talk to you later.
Riley: bye-

He hanged up. It was weird, because he never did that.

Nurse: Riley.
Riley: yes?
Nurse: your sister is awake.
Riley: w-what.
Nurse: she's awake. The doctors took her to surgery to take the tube out, but she's going to be okay.
Riley: oh my gosh.

I said crying. I really didn't think she was going to wake up. I was shock to be honest; the more the days went on, the more I lost hope.

Griffin: ok, we should go back now.
Riley: Mads is awake.
Sab: wait for real?
Riley: yeah I have to go call my mom.

I walk away from them to call my mom.

Tiffany: hey sweetie.
Riley: mom, I have amazing news.
Tiffany: what?
Riley: it's Mads, she's awake!
Dakota: what!
Riley: she's awake. I was in the cafeteria and the nurse came to me, and told me she was awake.
Tiffany: we're on our way.

My mom hanged up and we waited in the cafeteria until they let us back in her room.

*Mads Pov*

Doctor: squeeze my fingers.

I squeeze his fingers.

Doctor: can you move toes?

I move my toes.

Doctor: can you say anything?
Mads: a-anything.
Doctor: that will work.
Riley: oh my gosh Mads!

She rush over to me and hugs me.

Mads: ow Ri, that h-hurts.
Riley: I'm sorry, I-I just missed y-you so m-much.
Mads: I missed you too?
Riley: why did you say that in a questionable way?
Mads: because I don't know why I'm here.
Riley: what do you remember?
Mads: nothing. What is today anyways?
Riley: it's January 4th.
Mads: w-what it was just November.
Sab: are you going to tell her, or do you want me to do it?
Riley: no, I'll do it.
Mads: what's going on? Mom?

My mom, brother, and dad walked in the room over to me. It's like I'm so confused right now, and no one's explaining anything.

Mom: oh sweetie I missed you so much.
Mads: mom, what's happening?
Riley: Mads...you were in an accident.
Mads: w-what?
Riley: you were walking down the street and a car hit you...sadly people and the paparazzi recorded it, and it's everywhere.
Mads: oh...

It was a little pause, and a lot of it started to come back to me.

Mads: fletcher...he was calling my name, and then someone hit me with their car. I couldn't move or anything...everything after that is just a big blur.
Cynthia: Nessa hit you with her car.
Mads: w-what.
Cynthia: she was drunk, and the police found out, and they arrested her. She's on bail, but they're pressing charges for DUI, and attempted murder.
Mads: why? Why attempted murder if she didn't do it on purpose?
Riley: Mads, she hit you with her car, and put you in coma.
Mads: so? I want to talk to the police.
Riley: Mads-
Mads: Riley!
Riley: ok ok.

She leaves and everyone looks at me.

Mads: she didn't attempt to murder me. That's not like her. Deep down she's a sweet girl, and she wouldn't try to kill anyone.
Griffin: but do we really know that. I mean she did take Jaden away from you.
Mads: get out.
Griffin: what I'm just telling the truth.
Mads: leave!
Griffin: fine.

He got up and left; Riley came back in with the police.

Police 1: we heard you wanted to drop the charges against Nessa Barrett.
Mads: yes. Who even pressed charges?
Riley: I did, because I thought she killed you. I thought you would never wake up.
Police 2: are you sure you want to drop the charges?
Mads: yes I'm sure.
Police 2: ok, but we're still giving her a fine for DUI.
Mads: ok.

They leave, and Riley holds my hand.

Riley: I really did miss you.
Mads: I missed you too. I missed all of you.
Jaden: even me?

I look at the door and seen Jaden.

Mads: no, not really.
Mom: oh hell no, what are you doing here?!
Riley: mom calm down I don't want him here either, but there's no point in fighting it anymore.
Dad: she's right; sadly we have to let it go.
Mom: ugh.
Sab: we're going come back soon. I'm so glad you're doing better.
Mads: thank you.

They left and I tried to sit up.

Jaden: no don't sit up.
Mads: what are you doing here anyways?
Jaden: came to see you to make sure you were awake.
Mads: is that why you were singing those three songs.
Jaden: you said they were your favorite, and I wanted to see if that would give you the courage to wake up.
Mads: well I guess it did.
Jaden: and since you missed your birthday...here.

He hands me a box that's wrapped. I slowly opened it, and seen a new phone.

Jaden: I got you a new phone since your other phone is broken.
Mads: aww thank you.
Jaden: I already set it up for you, and transferred everything to that phone.
Mads: thanks.

I smiled at him, and he kissed me on my head.

Jaden: I'm sorry for everything I did to you Mads. I should of known better.
Mads: it's okay I'm over it.

I still hate him, but maybe it won't be so bad trying to be friends.

*Josh's Pov*

I got to the hospital, because I wanted to see Mads. You know see if she's awake or anything. I went to the elevator, and went to Mads floor.

I got to Mads room, and I didn't walk straight in because I hear laughing. I peaked in and I seen Jaden right next to Mads. Damn, I knew he was going do this and I let it happen sadly. I can't even be here right now. I really thought Mads, and I were going somewhere, but I guess not.

I left the hospital not looking back. I decided to go somewhere knowing I might regret it.
