The kiss lasted for about two minutes when Mads pulled away.

Mads: you love me?
Josh: of course I do. Just because Jaden did you wrong doesn't mean I'm going to do it to you.
Mads: you did it to Nessa though.
Josh: I was dumb then. I'm mad at myself for hurting her and being that type of person. I love you and I really want to be with you.
Mads: you really want to be with me?
Josh: yes Mads. I want a lifetime with you because I love you.
Mads: I love you too.
Josh: you don't have to say you love me because I said it.
Mads: but I do.

Josh looked at her a little confused because he thought she was still in love with Jaden.

Mads: I started to fall for you awhile ago, I just didn't know how to tell you.
Josh: I told you, you can tell me anything.
Mads: I know that now. I'm putting my trust in you not to hurt me.
Josh: I won't ever I promise.
Mads: you and me till the end?
Josh: you and me till the end.

He kissed her again and the butterflies in her stomach erupted. She's been waiting forever to find someone who won't hurt her, and she believes she finally found that someone.

Josh: I love you so much.
Mads: I love you more.
Josh: I promise I won't take you or your love for granted ever.
Mads: I know.

She hugged him extremely tight it's like she never wanted to let go of him.

Mads: please don't ever let go.
Josh: I won't I'm here till the end.
Mads: so what are we now?
Josh: well I was hoping you would be my girlfriend.
Mads: are you asking me to be your girlfriend?
Josh: yeah.
Mads: what! You know I'm not ready for that?!
Josh: wait what?
Mads: I'm playing. I always wanted to do that to someone.
Josh: well you got me. But will you be my girlfriend?
Mads: yeah, I'll be your girlfriend.

She smiled while kissing him. They were on cloud nine in that moment. Maybe she is going to get that little happy ending she always wanted.

Mads: it's crazy how you're asking me on the 31st and next month there's only 28 days.
Josh: yeah, I didn't really think about that I just really needed to make you my girlfriend.
Mads: happy birthday by the way.
Josh: thank you. This is the best birthday ever, because of you.

They were hugging each other when Josh got a phone call from Riley.

Josh: your sister's calling.
Mads: why is she calling you?
Josh: you'll see.

Josh: hello.
Riley: did you do?
Josh: yes.
Riley: did she forgive you?
Josh: yes.
Riley: are you guys dating?
Josh: yes.
Riley: oh my gosh!
Mads: Riley calm down.
Riley: you have me on speaker?!
Josh: yes I do because I know you have me on speaker too.
Indiana: of course she does! I'm so happy for you two!
Mads: thank you Indi.
Indiana: don't ruin this Josh
Josh: bruh.
Riley: I have so many people to tell.
Mads: uhh no. No one is telling anyone.
Riley: I'm going to tell his sister.
Josh: no then she's going to tell my mom and I wanted to tell her.

Riley already hanged up the phone in the middle of him speaking.

Mads: umm she already hanged up.
Josh: ugh I have to call my mom. I can tell her right?
Mads: go ahead I just don't want the public to know yet.

He calls his mom hoping she doesn't know yet, because it's better coming from him then his sister, because she's going to make it seem like he's been dating her for months.

Patti: hello?
Josh: hi mom.
Mads: hiii Mrs. Richards!
Patti: Mads? I didn't think you would actually still want to talk to Josh.
Josh: ow mom!
Mads: I didn't think I would either but I love him so.
Patti: why are you calling me for Josh? I already told you happy birthday.
Josh: ok one ow and second can't a son call their mom once in a while.
Olivia: their what?!

Josh heard his sister and knew he had to say something fast.

Josh: ok so I'm actually calling because I asked Mads to be my girlfriend today.
Patti: and Mads what did you say?
Mads: I said yeah I'll be your girl-
Olivia: mom! Josh and Mads has been dating for months now.
Josh: see I knew she was going to do this.
Patti: y'all been dating for a couple months and didn't tell me?
Mads: actually he just asked me. Josh and I haven't really been speaking lately anyways.
Olivia: did he actually just ask you today?
Josh: yes, I literally just asked her today. I finally got the courage to do it...with the help of her sister and Indi.
Olivia: I'm happy for you guys, but I should of been the first to know.
Josh: oh my gosh.
Patti: I'm going to let y'all go back to doing what y'all were doing.
Josh: bye mom love you.
Mads: bye guys.
Patti: bye love you too.

He hanged up and looked at Mads.

Mads: what?
Josh: you just look so beautiful.

She blushed trying to hide her face in his chest.

Mads: I look a mess right now.
Josh: you don't look a mess in my eyes.
Mads: thank you for everything.
Josh: I should be saying thank you to you.
Mads: why?
Josh: because you're the one who wanted to be with me, and you forgave me.
Mads: because I believe you.
Josh: and I'm thankful for that.

He laid down on the couch and Mads cuddled up to him. They went to sleep together on the couch.
