Drax had been stood behind Quill for the past 10 minutes crunching on zark nuts. It was in fact true his ability to stand so still nobody knew he was there and Quill was just proving it. It wasn't until the peel of one of the nuts jumped onto the star lords shoulder that he whipped around.

'How long have you been stood there dude??' Quill said with zark nut crumbs spilling from his hair.

Drax ignored him and brought up a virtual screen of the galaxy. It showed a 60 mile radius of the near by planets, not that there were any nearby. The map also had star constellations, meteor warnings and black holes. But the most interesting part of the map to drax was the little blinking light that every so often would flash red in the corner of the screen. His eyes would stay fixed on the dot until it glowed marroon again, and every single time without fail he would be left in a state of hysterics.

'Honestly man, you're so sad.' Peter smacked.

'I am not the sad one Quill' Drax turned 'I do not cry myself to sleep most nights, even with no family of my own'.

And with that Quill shut up, not due to anger but due to embarrassment and the fact that every part of that was true.

Time was getting closer to the unamed planet that Gamora COULD be on, only 3 more hours of flying until they reached it. And with every minute ghat passed Quill gained another butterfly in his stomach. There was practically no skin left on the roof of his mouth from constantly biting at it out of nerve. He tried everything to stop thinking about it , even getting mantis to knock him out to sleep. But every 30 seconds or so he would awaken again, shivering with an eerie feeling.

'Dammit bug lady, you put a fat purple space alien to sleep but you can't put me?'

'Quill the only difference between you and that alien is that one of you is purple' Rocket chimmed staggering in whilst holding his side.

'Hahahahahaa, he just called you fat quill'. Drax laughed, for the first time ever he had been commissioned to fly the ship although it was on mostly auto pilot it required some buttons clicked from now and again.

'Dude' Quill didn't need his comment repeated.

Mantis tugged on peters hair forcing him back to sleep, although the conversation only had to wait 32s until he was back again.

'I give up, i'll just take a load of melatonin or something'.

'I am groot'. The small tree had snuck onto rockets shoulder and was swaying his branches to Quills zune he'd stolen.

'You wanna hit him with a brick to make him fall asleep? I mean i'm not totally against the idea'. Rocket took both of them to the front of the cockpit.

Groot gasped at the false allegations from rocket.

'I AM GROOT!!!!!!'.

'The tree did not say that Rocket!' Mantis cried.

The was a few huffs and words flung around but eventually they all settled at their respected seats as there was about 10 clicks until the planet.

'All right Guardians let's put on our mean faces'. Quill gripped the steering gear tighter. ' We go in, find... find her, and out. No messing around, if you get into shit you're on your own.'

'Ye okay space boy'. Rocket , even in incredible pain, he still managed to piss Quill off.

'That was a week long phase fox.'

Unlike humans rocket was some rodent rat animal thing, and being no part human made his healing process a whole lot quicker. After only a total of 4 hours post gunshot horror his wound was already starting to heal, unlike his attitude. He chatted back to Peter for another 10 minutes before being silenced with a yaro root to the head, thrown by nebula.

'We are near'. Mantis said leaning on the window shield of the ship.

Peters heart plummeted to his feet, he could feel a dread building up in his stomach and creeping out of his skin. His heartbeat began in beats of 2 a second, the metal of the ship gears were drenched in sweat. Barely usable. He put one foot on top of the other to stable it from rapidly shaking. All her could hear was the voice of the guardians telling him what another wasted mission it had been.

'3 clicks, 2 clicks, 1 click. Hold onto your hatsyou idiots'. The rodent seized the ship forwards and they forcefully squeezed into the jump.Groot who was still holding onto the branches on his head murmered, he made an uneasy sound before throwing up down the back of rockets chair.

'oh you great big pile of sticks!' Rocket hacked.

'Hahaha the crabby puppy has been splurged on again'. Mantis giggled from next to him.

The ship bounced through the atmosphere and searched for life, being an unnamed planet there wasn't much to go by. It was most likely to be deserted but they looked anyway. Flying over tundras of sand glaciers that stuck out to form what looked like wizard hat peaks. They had small tips at the end of rocks that had been balanced one by one by something. This gave Quill hope for life, maybe even civilisation.

Suddenly the peak of a large spiked building came into view, everyone aboard the ship gave a light gasp. It was a small place but the buildings towered at 200 meters high making the whole town look violent. It was eerie floating in , they were at head height with the structures and could see what looked like some of the krylorian race nested inside. The city was bright and warm but it felt empty, and uninviting.

'Ehhh i haven't got a good feeling about this place Quill'. Drax shot him a glance. Before Quill could speak Nebula interrupted.

'Land the ship Quill, i have a feeling she's here'.And with that the craft descended into a parking bay, it was busier down there. Filled with much smaller ships than the Milano but they were all recently in use.The clamps were shoved down into the ground and even though the ship room up 4 normal sized parking spaces they left it there.
