After a while, Beidou reached the battlefield and states the rule, even though M/n knew Aether would be just fine he couldn't help but worry a tad, why you may ask? Val joined the tournament! They wanted to make sure that Aether was more than worthy to protect their king but deep down they wanted revenge against Aether, for his past actions. Val also knew how to hide their abilities so there wasn't much to worry about... Except, M/n was still worried.
"I hope they don't hurt each other..."

"I'm sure Val knows when to pull their punches against humans-"Suddenly a body flew straight past M/n, Nuri, and Kazuha; who were on the sidelines watching but took their focus off the battle. In the makeshift arena, Val was placing their sword back in its holder.
"Did a-"

"Yes."

"I'll go check on the human..."M/n sighs, this was going to be a very short tournament with how Aether and Val fight. M/n hops up and places Nuri in Andrius care, the wolf didn't care much for the mortals fighting and found himself dozing off alongside Nuri.
"Uh, excuse me! Are you alright?"

"Ugh.."

"I'll take that as a no. Here I'll heal you. After this, you should get something to drink and stay seated for a while."The human thanks M/n for his kindness and M/n returns to the others on the sideline, but something felt off when he did. Someone was missing from the line of opponents, the elf frowns deeply, why would someone leave before their turn? Even if they were scared, they'd still try, right? M/n was suspicious and with little attention on him, he manages to sneak off and follow a trail using elemental sight.
"Helios, do you see what I see?"

❝Yes, there are traces of Electo heading further off...❞

"... Alright! Let's go."

"Indeed I have!"M/n rushes after the trail, venturing off on his own for once. This went unnoticed for some time, that's until Val and Aether were face to face preparing for battle. It's then that Andrius nods himself awake.
Nuri remains asleep in his grasp but Andrius nearly sprang to his feet when he doesn't see M/n. Kazuha finally looks back over, he pales when seeing that M/n was nowhere in sight but a loud clashing sounds off behind him, Aether and Val were now sword to sword. Fight violently, Val was excellent at defense and wasn't breaking a sweat while Aether was struggling to breakthrough.

Each time their swords connect, Sparks fly.
I have to focus! How can I distract them or break through their defense?! Come on, think! I've fought Childe in his transformation, he and Val are on equal grounds but Val is clearly stronger even when they don't use their Dendro abilities.
Aether keeps up the attack, trying to figure out what to do next. Aether thrashes his sword once again against Val's but this time he leans forward, attempting to use brute force to push Val back. This closeness throws Val off, their face turns red and they force Aether back as the smell of Cherry blossom filling the area.
"That's it... They're easily flustered! Oh, this is going to get uncomfortable for them."Aether chuckles and launches himself towards the still flustered being. Instead of thrusting his sword to Val's, Aether grabs Val's chin, making them look down into his eyes.

Val reddens even more and freaks out! They could no longer think properly, accidentally dropping their weapon and jumping back and out of bounds, ending the battle.
"You bastard-!"

"Guys! M/n and is missing and so is the empty vision!"Kazuha yells, panic is clear as day in his voice, not only did M/n vanish something important that he also held close to his heart.
"Hurry and bring him back. I'll watch after Nuri."Beidou voices sternly to the four when. Andrius gently hands the princess over to Beidou and he quickly leads the search for the king and the prize.

Elsewhere, M/n was finally caught up to the culprit.
"Hey! Give that back, you didn't win it."

"King M/n? Oh ho, I'll get a hundred times more money for you than selling this vision."

"...Did you just really say that? To me of all people?"M/n places a hand on his hip as Dendro slims pop from the ground and surround the thief. Even Helios couldn't believe what the 'young'(to him) mortal said.
"I guess I can teach you a lesson! Miss Lisa and Scaramouche taught me a few things as well~"M/n smiles as Electo crackles around him. It was then that the thief realized his grand mistake.
"Lesson one, never touch things that don't belong to you~"
