"Are you nervous?"
"If I said yes then what?"Helios smiles and then bumps M/n's arm gently. He explains that it was natural to be nervous, he was also nervous since he was never a part of war himself either so it was a new experience for them both. "Chin up you guys! Things will go smoothly, we're up against Kujou Sara and her troops for now." It was Gorou, he shows a bright smile in hopes to ease the worry of the two royal figures and the other soldiers. Inumaki joins in reassuring the others that everything would be alright and that everyone would make it, it was as if they knew something. Aether picked up on that but kept it to himself. Inumaki was a strange creature to Aether and he never got around to asking questions about them and thought now was a good opportunity to ask. "
Inumaki, how old are you?"
"Hmm about eight hundred years old."
"Wow your pretty young compared to a few people I know."The sentence gets Inumaki's attention and in turn, asks a question about those who Aether knows. The two carry on a conversation full of questions and answers, when it stops they were now on the battlefield. "Here we are."Teppei voices as he stations himself next to the Royal males. Gorou and Inumaki step forward on the side of the resistance while Kujou Sara did the same for the Shogunate's army. "What are they doing?"
"Putting the best against each other. I'm assuming Gorou will have Aether battle for our army."
"So a one-on-one first then an all-out battle? Sounds slightly reasonable."Teppei wanted to chuckle at M/n's confusion but holds it together for the sake of the situation but Helios did no such thing, he laughs a bit. "Aether knows what he's doing so it's a guaranteed win on our end but once the battle truly begins, are you ready to attack and heal?"
"I may have not been born ready but I know we'll win."Teppei, Inumaki, Helios, and Val all smile at his uplifting attitude then turn back to the battle before them. As they expected, Aether was doing fine, M/n shakes off his nerves and prepares for the outcome. Seeing this change of mood, Kujou Sara seemed to get ready herself. Aether could feel this and knew soon as the warrior went down, the clash of armies would happen.
And he was right because the Shogunate's army charged in! Everyone who could fight fought hard, especially M/n and Helios. However, the two got separated when they were suddenly bombarded. "Damn!" Helios scowls as he fights through many soldiers, he was worried that now with his abilities to control certain elements, he wouldn't be able to pull his punches enough, which immediately leads to him dropping a large mound of snow on one soldier of the opposing side. "Oh dear.."
"Heli is that man dead?!"Suddenly M/n drops in, at first he was excited to find the smaller male but was shocked to see so much snow piled onto a human. "He uh... He's just resting!"
"Under that much snow?! That man is probably dead!"
"He's so sleepy..."As M/n goes to speak again but an arrow shoots by then both resulting in the king earning a cut on his cheek. M/n flinches for a moment and pulls Helios to the side when another one was shot at them. "Shit forgot about that woman."
"Let's close the gap shall we?"The brothers summon bows; Skyward Harp and Polar Star, they smirk standing back to back. "Overload?"
"Overload!"They pull back in tandem, flames dancing at the ready, before Sara realized what element they were using they release the pyro arrows just as she released her own but for electo. However before the arrow could truly soar through the air, she and it was struck by the pyro arrows causing an explosion. "Ooh, I hope we didn't kill her..."
"At this point, we won't know till she stands back up or not! Let's connect, I'll switch to electro and you support me with pyro!"
"Got it!!"The fire off where it was needed most and the tide of the battle were in resistance favor but not for long when reinforcements of the Shogunate rallied in. "This is bad! Where's Kokomi or Mimi?"Inumaki seemed calm on the outside but they were panicking, the tide changed and they couldn't do much without overexerting themself. Gorou was also starting to worry but that's until the water began to float, soldiers were being healed, and the sound of thundering footsteps sound off behind them. "Oh thank the Archons!"
"Don't thank them yet! We still have a problem!"M/n yells over to the two, eventually, the brothers ended up closer to the general than they previously were. "Good to see you again, your majesty. Ah, what happened to your cheek?"Kazuha asked as he cuffs M/n lightly injured cheek. "Just a scratch, nothing to worry about. Now that you guys are here, I can focus more on support and help Kokomi on healing."M/n smiles brightly at the reinforcements on their side and they smile back before charging into the heat of battle.
As they push the Shogunate's army back a line of flames cuts through the battlefield, skillfully avoiding the resistance soldiers. "Sorry we're late, your majesty."
"Roselina!"
"That should be enough to drive them back."Roselina shyly smiles and she was right Sara pulled back her troops and they flee the battlefield. "We..."
"WE DID IT!!"The Army cheers happily, celebrating their victory against their foe, M/n sighs with joy and sinks to his knees now tired from the fight. "Geez, who knew I would fight more than I healed?"
"You did great, your majesty!"Many chime in, their words made M/n's heart flutter with happiness. "Let's return to Watatsumi island for a celebration!"
