July 1979, New Jersey - Marlton
The door opened slowly and a familiar face appeared.
"Hello?.. Is that really you? Christina..?", my mother cried.
I noticed that she wore a wig.
I couldn't speak, I just hugged her, the tears in my eyes started to run over my face and I quickly wiped them away.
"What are you doing over there?", a deep man voice asked.
We went inside of the house and Brian followed us.
"Mom.. what took you so long? Who's this?", another deep man voice asked but this one were a little lighter.
We went to the living room.
"W-... you?", my dad asked who had a lot of white hair instead of dark blonde like I remembered.
"Hello.", I said while holding the hand of my mother.
Another person appeared right next to my brother. A young woman. She had long blonde hair.
"You're Christina, right?", she asked.
I nodded and she hugged me.
"Welcome home, I am Sarah, Mark's girlfriend.", she explained.
"Who's this?", my brother asked.
"I am her manager, Brian Hecox my name.", Brian replied.
"So, you're running away from home, and then you expect that you can come home, like nothing has happened?", my father asked.
"I just wanted to visit you all. I didn't wanted to stay. If you still don't want me, fine! I can pay for my own hotel room. I just wanted to talk to my mother.", I explained.
"Ohh yes I saw it, Ms. Hollywood! You're making some garbage music and then you're getting paid for it."
"Her 'garbage' is more successful than you'll ever be. And instead of being proud, you're giving her a hard time. As always!", my mother said.
"Let's see how long you will hold on.", my father mumbled.
"I have to say that your daughter is really successful in the music industry and she gets even more successful with every week.", Brian told.
"That doesn't matter now. Mom can I talk to you?", I wanted to know.
She nodded and we went to my old room.
"So how has it been?", she asked smiling.
"Great um.. yes great but I am so lonely. I miss you so much. I have nobody.", I explained.
"Aww my baby, I missed you too. There was no day when I wasn't thinking about you. When I saw you on the Television a year ago for the first time.. oh dear, you don't know how proud I am of you."
"Thank you so much. Mom? I wanted to ask you if you're happy here. And if you want to come home with me. And how's uhm.. your cancer?", I asked.
"Happy.. not without you but I can't leave. They need me. Your dad needs me. And uh.. I am still fighting but I am better now. Your father does everything he is able to.", she explained.
"Okay, if you don't want to leave, please give me your phone number. And here, the 500 dollar you gave to me back then. And here, I want that we both go to a good doctor tomorrow. In Los Angeles is a good one who could help you. But we have to go there for a couple of days... maybe even a week.", I told and gave her some envelopes.
