February 1980, Los Angeles
The Grammy Awards were presented and I was walking with Diana Ross over the red carpet.
I didn't knew why I still went with her to the Grammy's, probably because I was too desperate to ask somebody new.
We walked into the huge hall where some familiar faces appeared and a young woman showed us our seats.
Diana was sitting right next to me.
"I thought you wouldn't come with me because of Arne.", I said.
"I keep my promises, when I said yes, then it's yes.", she replied a bit annoyed.
We talked to some other Artists til the show started.
I was very excited because I was nominated.
Christina's POV
The show had opened and I was very nervous because of all the legendary Artists.
What if I wasn't good enough?
Brian told me to calm down, I was with my Mother as well. She was kind of my date.
We were at a Hospital in Los Angeles a couple days ago so we decided that she stays with me for a while.
She stayed because of my tour had ended and mainly because I was very lonely.
My mom wore some black pants and a black blazer, it was so classy and mature and I loved it.
"So it's time, you ready?", Brian asked in his suit.
"Good luck, Sweetheart, you will amaze them!", she said and hugged me.
Brian and a young woman who was helping with the organization showed me the way.
I was about to perform.
The stage became pitch black and the young woman from before led me to the piano.
I took a deep breath and suddenly I was able to see my hands over the keys.
Michael's POV
The stage became pitch black and no one could see what would happen next.
Suddenly a melody was played and slowly but surely a piano could be seen.
A very young girl was playing and she had a very beautiful calming voice.
As the melody became more dramatic, more lights were turned on.
Now I could see her.
I wasn't able to see her face but I was able to see her straight brown hair and her elegant purple dress.
I thought that if she looked as good as she could sing, she had to be a model or something pretty like that.
She played her last notes and looked at the audience.
I couldn't resist but stand up and cheer. So did almost everyone else.
She went down from the stage and went straight to a middle aged man and hugged him.
I was just hoping that such a beautiful young girl wasn't dating that old guy.
She went to her seat to an older woman."Michael, don't you want to sit?", Quincy asked joking.
"Uhm yeah uh.. that girl who sung, can you make me talk to her?", I asked.
"Why?", Diana wanted to know.
