Christina's POV
July 1979, New York"Are you ready?", asked Brian.
"Yes, I am.", I replied smiling.
The platform I was standing on slowly began moving. I had my microphone with me.
I was wearing the clothes Emily and I picked out for my tour.
My hands were shaking and I heard the screaming and cheering from my fans. My lips formed into a smile. Now I could finally see them. My fans. The music began to play and I felt like, I was in another world. My world.
Some fans had signs which they held in their hands. Some of them were wearing shirts with my photograph on it. Almost all of them were singing along.
I was amazed how happy they looked, how much they enjoyed my presence. The tour was a way to give my fans something back - a good time.
After the first two songs it was time for me to talk with my fans a little.
"How are you doing?", I asked.
They screamed and cheered.
"Good? That's good! We're going to have a great time, am I right?"
I heard some more screaming and cheering.
"So today is a special day for me and I am happy to be here in New York City. Thank you all so much for coming and now let's have a great time, shall we?"
My band played a song from my album and my background dancers appeared.
We performed til we had a little break to drink something.
"Okay Christina, thirty minutes are left. Then you are coming down as usual and the autograph session can begin.", Brian explained.
And we did like Brian told us to. We performed four more songs with my dancers and then I played two more songs on the piano.
"You guys were incredible! I hope that you all had a great time and again thank you so much for coming. So for the ones who wants an autograph, I wanted to say that I am going to be at the fan shop. I am happy to see you there.", I explained.
I went down where the fan shop was and sat down on the chair. I was really exhausted. I couldn't wait to finally fall asleep.
"One after another, please! Anyone who tries to get in front of another people, goes right back to the end.", Brian called.
A girl was the first. She had a poster in her hand for me to sign and she was crying.
"Hello my dear why are you crying?", I asked.
"It's.. it's.. I can't help it. It was my dream to meet you and finally... it has become r-reality.", she explained.
"Aww that's really sweet of you. But you gotta know that I am only human, just like you."
I signed her poster and gave her a hug. She smiled and waved at me when she left.
"Hello, can you please sign my arm? I would like to get a tattoo from it!", the next teenager said.
"I'll do it but a tattoo should have a deep and important meaning.", I said.
"You're my idol, that's meaning enough", he answered and smiled.
I signed his arm and he had a little present for me. A bracelet.
"Aww that's sweet! Thanks!", I hugged him.
My fans were such sweethearts, they were so happy to see me and some if them even cried. Others had little presents or letters.
Most of them were teenagers and young adults but a couple of children with their parents and older people were present as well.
I was happy that my music was something for any age.
When the time was over, a couple of fans were still waiting to meet me.
"Alright, time's up! Christina needs to rest.", Brian called.
The bodyguards were about to make the people leave.
"No, there are only sixteen people left, let them come.", I shouted.
"You're definitely too nice!", Brian whispered as I greeted the next fan.
When all of my fans had left and while we were about to leave, I felt really weird.
I was about to see my mother in less than an hour.
So many years passed and finally it's time.We went to the car and Brian gave me a blanket. He was sitting next to our chauffeur.
"You should sleep a little, you will probably talk a lot later.", he said.
I nodded and was about to take a nap.
"Are you coming with me?", I asked before falling asleep.
"If you want to, yes.", Brian answered.
"Good, I have no idea how this is going to go down. I may need help.", I explained.
"I am going to be right next to you. I mean those last two years I've been looking after you like you were my little sister, they need to know that you were and are in good hands.", Brian told.
"Thank you, Brian. I hope that everything is going to be fine."
"It will be fine, don't worry too much about it and sleep a little. You will need it."
I closed my eyes and fell asleep after a little while.
The next thing I remembered was that Brian woke me up.
"We just arrived. Marlton, New Jersey!", he said.
I took a deep breath and got out of the car. Everything seemed smaller than I remembered it.
I spotted our house and the lights were still burning.
There was this feeling of puking and passing out inside of me but I had to hold on.
"Are you ready?", Brian asked.
"I have to be. There's no going back.", I replied and walked closer to the door and knocked.
I was about to enter my home after years.
