A L Y

After 2 long years, she's right in front me. No matter how many times I practiced this very moment, nothing can ever compare to the fact na andito na sya.

I heard Lau introduced me, I held out my hand and intentionally avoided dennise first. I noticed a guy holding den's waist and said "Anton, pare" I gave a fake smile and shook his hand. Akala siguro netong gagong to cute sya. I looked at dennise and said "Hi" I shook her hand and gave a cocky smile kasi I can see right through her na kinakabahan sya.

"Tara, let's seat. The owner will be here in a few. Galing airport eh" I said. Umupo sila isa isa. Nakita ko yung anton, inaalayan si dennise na mauna sa round couch. Di naman siguro tanga si dennise para di sya marunong umupo diba.

Lau caught my attention by whispering "Beer ka or hard?" Honestly I need something hard in my system, di pa rin nags'sink in. Dennise is in front me, in flesh. With guy wrapped around her waist as if mawawala sya any moment. Parang tanga. But I answered beer, di ko affored malasing. Di worth it.

Our beers came, I saw dennise and she just ordered pineapple juice. I knitted my forehead, thinking "Pabebe" masyado. Tss. Laura kept talking with her team about work stuff, future plans for their show. I looked at dennise, nakita kong iniiwasan nya talagang tignan ako and most of time nakayuko or tumitingin sya around. I didn't noticed nakatatlong beer nako. Lau called my attention and said "Ly, are you good?" I looked at her and kissed her cheek. I heard her giggle and i said "yes babe. I just feel like I want something hard. Kayo guys, are you down?" I saw everyone agreed. Nagbulungan si anton and dennise - then they gave us a nod too.

A bottle of tequila came. We all took a shot and I saw dennise just intently looked at me. I took one more while having a staring contest with her. Even her boyfriend was taking shots. After a couple of rounds - di ko napigilan yung sarili ko so I asked "Ikaw, dennise di ka iinom?" She shook her head no but by this time I already poured tequila on a spare shotglass and handed it to her. Anton spoke and said "Actually, she doesnt drink pare" I laughed hysterically and answered "Imposible. Come on dennise take a shot" I saw her looked at me pleading to stop. Tangina. I hate those eyes.

Anton spoke again and said "Pare, its a no. Sorry. Di talaga sya umiinom" I looked at anton and asked "Ikaw ba tinatanong ko?" Lau held my hand and whispered "anong ginagawa mo?" I didnt even looked at her and just looked at anton. Challenging him kung bakit ba sya sabat ng sabat.

"Hindi pre pero girlfriend ko yung tinatanong mo so sumasagot lang ako for her." I saw his jaw clenching. Pikon. Not until I answered na nakita ko gusto nako sapakin ni Anton "Ikaw na din ang nagsabi, girlfriend mo yung tinatanong ko. So wag kang sabat ng sabat." I looked at dennise again and handed the shot waiting for her to take it. She looked at me with teary eyes and I cant explain what I feel. Naiirita ko kasi para kong sasabog so then I said "Come on, isang shot lang para sa pinagsamahan natin dati! Besides, you loved fucking me while drunk in tequila diba?

There, I saw it. A tear fell from those eyes that meant the whole world to me before. Anton stood up and said "Tara na den, this is not worth our time" he stood up, grabbed her hand at helped get out of the round couch. Pinadaan na din sila ng mga nakaupo sa opening nung couch para makalabas sila. I feel like Anton already knew who I am, somehow i know na nagsink in sakanya kung sino ako. It made me more angry, na ganto ka saya si dennise. May nagmamahal sakanya kahit hindi nya deserve and all I want is to make dennise feel all the pain. So I spoke and said:

"Come on, pare. Wag ka maoffend. Ikaw yung nag girlfriend ng fuckgirl addict tas maoffend ka." I smirked. I felt laura stopping me and telling me to calm down. I felt a punch landed on my face. As I was about to get up and fight back, I saw anton getting punched on the face by gretch (Mala superhero yung pasok ng bestfriend ko). Anton fought back and punched gretch in the gut when the bouncers stopped the fight and protected gretch.

Dennise shouted on top of her lungs and said "TAMA NA!" We all looked at her, i saw anton trying to get out from the grip of the bouncers when Dennise walked over to our table, right in front of my face, took the shot of the tequila without salt nor lemon, almost spitting on me thats how close she was and said "I hope youre happy" and  walked away.

In that very moment, its weird. I got what I wanted but I wasnt happy.
