A/N:

Officially halfway done!!

-------------------------------------------

We rode the elevator in a silence so loud I found myself clenching and unclenching my fists just to do something. I kept my eyes focused on the lights passing through the grates, steering clear of prolonged eye contact with Leon.

I'm working. The entire reason I'm here is to save the president's daughter, and neutralize any BOWs that stand in my way, not to rekindle some long lost crush. Nothing more, nothing less.

I glanced at Leon once again, finding his eyes trained on the doors. His jaw was sharp, his eyes vibrant.

Nothing more, nothing less.

The elevator finally came to a stop and the doors opened to reveal a narrow hallway leading to an open space filled with archways. I moved quickly, eager to escape what seemed like an unreasonable small elevator and begin down the hall.

Leon tailed behind me, our feet dinging against the marble floors. The wall was a pale smooth stone, unlike much of what we'd seen in rest of the castle. The corridor ended at an open, tiled room with floors so polished I could see the dirt on my nose in the reflection.

The hall was extravagant, even from what little I could see of it through the arches and columns separating the small section we'd been deposited in. The platform across from us mirrored our own, only connected by a matching set of steps that led to a mutual walkway into the room proper.

The walls looked like they were carved metal and stone, inlaid with intricate swirls and delicate flourishments that--Wait. Are those feet?

I stepped forward, stopping at the top of the short staircase that descended down to the base of....a statue.

"No fucking way," I laughed, staring up at the huge statue towering over the room, "There's no way."

It was Salazar. It was a massive stone statue of him.  It was a similar color to the walls, with the details so fine I could see the swirls in the ends of his petticoat. His face was fixed eerily neutral, like the artist was worried to try and truly capture his malicious smile and crooked nose.

Leon stopped beside me, barking a laughed of his own.

He took in the statue, shaking his head while a smile crossed his mouth as he noted the details. After his inspection, he bumped a shoulder into mine and flashed his decadent smirk, "Maybe he's compensating for something." His voice was a smooth rhythm beside me.

"Maybe?"I chuckled, returning the smile.

"Poor guy," His smirk widened before he trotted down the last few steps, leaving me to watch him. The cadence of his voice and the twitched of his mouth painted the unsaid words. While Salazar may be compensating for something, Leon was not.

I watched him drop down the stairs and take a few steps down the walkway beyond. Of course everyman will laugh and say they are well endowed, but if there's one person I wouldn't doubt it's Leon. He even has the walk of someone who knows how to use his cock.

I scrubbed a hand down my face as I began down the steps, trying to center myself and return to the task at hand. Ashley--We're here for Ashley.

I dropped onto the walkway, finding Leon a few paces ahead taking in the room. It was. by far the largest area we'd seen. Maybe at one point it had served as a dining hall to host parties and guests?

Two shallow pools of water bordered the path, each accented with a water feature in the center. Everything about it was soft and delicate, even the steady gurgle of water didn't seem to disturb the pristine sheet of water.
