Sorry about the recent slow updates, I've been working a lot and travelled home for my birthday. It should be back to the normal frequency very soon :)

The door behind Ashley and Saddler echoed, the waning silence that followed her absence heavy and thick. Shit.
Leon held me flush against him with one arm coiled around my chest while the other snaked around my waist, pinning my arms to my sides. I tried to push against him, only to stop after it was clear he had an unshakable hold.
"I'm sorry," he murmured against my ear through gritted teeth, clearly still fighting Saddler's will.
"It's not your fault," I said, letting out a sigh and dropping my eyes from the hall Ashley disappeared down, "I was able to get her with a tracker."
"Well, I guess the BSAA isn't totally broke then."
I rolled my eyes but finally let my head relax slightly, finding Leon's collar bone just behind. Even after the grime of the village and trash heap, his pine scent still lingered on his skin, drawing my attention to the position we were in.
Goddamn, this was the closest I had been to him since Raccoon, and the differences between the Leon of now and the Leon of 1998 were striking--He was striking. Heat enveloped my senses as I focused on the encompassing grasp of his arms and the way they tightened and loosened around me as Leon struggled to gain control. My attention snapped to his labored breathing at my back and the tickle of his breath at the shell of my ear.
It shouldn't have been alluring, he was fighting for control of his body against a madman, but god damn if it didn't have me thinking about the way he'd hold me against him alone, in the privacy of a bedroom.
It took effort but I drew myself back to reality, eyes finding the door Ashley vanished through once again. Now was surely not the time for this crush to resurface. I'm on duty, and this was a serious situation that should not be turned into some self-indulgent fantasy.
Say something, Mykie. Get yourself out of this situation before my fate as a tomato is sealed. My head snapped up perhaps a little too quickly to be casual and I cleared my throat.
"You gonna stop hugging me anytime soon?" I asked, holding onto the plot--the whole reason we're here.
"I don't know. I did miss you," Leon joked. Even if they weren't meant to do so, my heart leapt at the words.
Luckily with the angle he's holding me at, he can't see the flush of red coming to my cheeks as he went on, "It's...strange, but I can feel him getting farther away. Once he's far enough, I think I'll be able to let go."
He can feel Saddler? The thought didn't sit well in my head. The parasite must have been close to hijacking Leon if Saddler can take over at the snap of his finger or rather, a wave of his palm. And Ashley? She wasn't even present anymore. It's like all the fight and personality drained right out of her.
God, what if it's too late and the damage is done?
Leon's grasp loosened a fraction, drawing me back to the present.
Right now, I can't focus on anything besides getting her back.
His grip loosened another inch, and I could feel the muscles of his chest beginning to relax against my back. Saddler was getting farther away with every moment.
His arms finally released me and he let out a deep breath like he'd been holding it in since Saddler first took hold. I took a step forward as he reached into his pocket and pulled out the pills Luis had given us as I turned to my blackberry, not wanting to draw any more attention to the position we'd just been in.
