Backstories

The Reckoning

13 years prior to the start of the story, 5 years after Knox took over

The Serpent's Hand launched an attack on one of The Foundation's containment facilities, but in the middle of the attack, the security system for the containment cells malfunctioned, and dozens of Euclid and Keter level SCPs broke out & escaped into the region. These SCPs attacked multiple villages, wrecking havoc and murdering hundreds, before they were re-contained by The Foundation or they moved into more rural parts of the region where it was much more difficult to track them.

That was the story that was announced by The Foundation. In reality, the site director of that facility, Dante, intentionally tripped the system on secret orders from Knox. The surrounding regions had been too restless and started openly rebelling against Knox's control, so he wanted to weaken the population in order to reestablish his power.

Raszius' Capture

5 years prior to the start of the story

As a group, they were known as the Shadow Kraits. The mission was to steal vital data off of a database within a containment facility, but an alarm was tripped and they couldn't shut it down in time. The Foundation showed up and pinned them down just outside the building. During the battle, Lunus and Kingsfire were facing one way and taking gunfire. Benji was next to Raszius when he said he would take down the helicopter, but Benji told him not to. A bomb went off very close to them, leaving Dark and Vyntage exposed to gunfire. Raszius made his move to go out in the open as a distraction. Dark tried to stop him but Ras pushed him away, but from Benji's perspective, it looked like Dark pushed Raszius out into the open and left him for The Foundation. Raszius destroyed The Foundation's air support, but was ultimately captured by the guards. The rest of the guys fled on 4-wheelers and were pursued on ATV's, but escaped by dropping nails in the dirt behind them and blowing the tires on The Foundation's vehicles.

Dark and Vyntage met up with Benji, Lunus, and Kingsfire at one of their unmarked hideouts, and it turned ugly very quickly. Dark and Vyntage left in the middle of the night to return to headquarters while the other three stayed there to sleep. When Benji, Lunus, and Kingsfire eventually got back to headquarters, they were informed that the Shadow Kraits were officially disbanded and that the three of them would now be operating under the name Blood Lyres while their former partners would be the Ghost Racers.

Elviah

On the night of The Reckoning, Elviah's village was attacked by a pack of SCP-939. Nine of the creatures ravaged through the village, wrecking havoc by mimicking the screams of children to lure parents and siblings out into the open while simultaneously destroying the houses and buildings. Almost the entire village was wiped out, including Elviah's parents and all four of her sisters.

Though Elviah was attacked, she survived with only scratches and bruises, despite being bitten in the leg. She passed out from the AMN-C227 emitting from the SCPs, and awoke the next morning in the middle of the carnage. She had a complete meltdown, and at only 10yrs old, she had no tactics to survive on her own. Elviah stayed in the village, despite having nothing left, and was found by a MTF. They brought her back to a facility where Elviah was experimented on for seven years, and became the first subject of The Foundation that was immune to SCPs.

Elviah's presence at the facility was made known to The Serpent's Hand when one of the researchers brought her outside for experimentation one day, and its members saw the scientists injecting her. The Serpent's Hand launched an immediate attack upon the facility and rescued her. Elviah tried to escape from the agents, but she lacked their skills and was easily caught. They brought her back to The Serpent's Hand headquarters where she explained what had been happening to her for the last seven years. She discovered the truth about Dante and The Reckoning from Cobra.
