Saturday was finally here, it was ten minutes until they all needed to meet at the park.Haruka enters the convenience store nearby her house and starts to look around for a snack and a drink. Little did she know someone else was there looking around as well.
They both bump into each other looking at the bag of chips. "Oh sorry, did you want this?" Haruka teases
"Yeah." Kenma sent daggers to her
"Mine" she grabs the chips and walks to the front, getting ready to pay for it.
Kenma grabs another bag of chips and follows the girl to the counter. He felt the nostalgia of being here when they were kids. It was a good feeling because that day was when they opened up to each other; although now it was another dead memory of a lost friendship.
After some minutes, they both walk out at the same time and head to the park, inches away from each other because the sidewalks weren't that huge. Haruka phone rang and she brought it up to her ear to answer.
"Yeah mom. No. I thought it was Monday? I'm not going on that blind date with one of the wealthiest sons. Frick then tell dad to get off my back about it! Bye love youuu!" She hung up and sighs, another phone call of stress
"Do you always fight with your parents?"
The woman was too stunned to speak. Was Kenma actually trying to make a conversation?
"A-ah um not all the time. Besides I barley see them so its not constant."
He hums in response, not knowing what to say next. Haruka couldn't understand his motives on some things like when he would glare at her or right now talk as if they were friends, she was confused if he wanted to be friends or not.
The duo finally arrive at the park seeing Kuroo and Mei there already, in a conversation. They somehow look kind of cute together but it was hard to imagine either of them staying loyal to each other.
"Finally decided to show up." Aiko who was sitting on the bench glares at the two.
Haruka gave a deadpan look to the blue head "We're actually on time."
"Kenma you look tired" Kuroo hits the back of his friend shoulder roughly but in a playful way.
"That's because I am."
Mei slightly laughs at the scene, "Anyways, Sasaki what is on the list to do?" She ask a little interested.
Haruka pulls out the paper and starts the scan it, making the whole list imbedded in her brain.
"So first off is-"
"Why don't we just pretend we did this and leave already."
"Well fuck Tanaka should've suggested that earlier before we met up." Haruka sarcastically says before returning back to the list, "Anyways-"
"You have a problem with me?"
"With your attitude yeah."
Aiko then grabs Haruka by the collar and yanks her closer, with an angry expression, "your getting too comfortable bitch"
Haruka exhales harshly, licking her bottom lips, and looking to the side for a second before she grabs Aiko arm and twists it back, pushing her forward.
Mei butts in, "I don't care if we get along or not but I rather not fail this class so stop your petty fight." She says, eyeing the blue hair girl.
Aiko turns from the position and smacks Mei across the face, "Shut the fuck up you whore!"
She then turns to Haruka with the most intense expression. Yeah not being the dumbass right now, Haruka knew it was time to run out of there.
The girl walks back slowly, "Tanaka were at a park- kids are around-" Aiko starts to sprint towards her "FRICKKK"
Haruka runs and hides behind Kenma who didn't know whether to help or not.
"WHO THE FUCK YOU THINK YOUR MESSING WITH!" Suddenly Mei attacks Aiko but jumping on her back
That turned into something.
"How did it end up like this."
Kuroo pulls away Mei from Aiko, as Kenma and Haruka stood by each other watching. They hadn't even started on the project and it was already going bad; It was mostly Aiko fault for not participating and throwing words around.
Kenma looks down towards the girl, "What is on the list to do?" His soothing voice caught Haruka out of her trance.
"Uhh- First was to-"
"Guys I'm taking this one home. I'm sorry!"
Thats when Kuroo left with Mei toss on his shoulder like a bag of potatoes. It wasn't hard to tell Aiko didn't want to be there either so she left without notice. Now it was just the two who awkwardly didn't know what to do or if they should leave.
The breeze softly went by, while the sun was bright outside, shining down upon them.
"Kozume-san, I really want to explain my situation- on what happened those years I left and why."
Kenma played with his lip ring a bit, not knowing whether to listen or not. He wasn't dumb enough to just yell and say no. He knew he needed to hear her out, maybe even mend a friendship but still had the hate of being left by her.
His mind was being indecisive, usually it would be a hard cold no but seeing her genuine about it was tempting.
"I guess."
Haruka eyes lit up a bit and suppresses the small smile, "I'm hungry. Lets discuss it over lunch?"
She had to fix this friendship, no matter if Aiko or Mei never wanted to be her friends, Kenma was main priority to her.
Finally getting somewhere with the story
