The school day rolled by, Monday
Haruka made her way into class without bumping into Kenma at all. It was like the whole kiss incident again but this time she confessed.
After the confession he had no time to answer because the parents came back and both went home without a single word spoken. It made Haruka feel better but she wish he had responded.
"Haru! Guess what!"
"What is it now Izumi?"
"So-"
The classroom door bursts open with Mei and Aiko "I got snacks!" Mei exclaims with a bag in her hand
"and I paid"
Izumi continues her story that was about her and Lev doing some baking together. It was still a bit early for class and Haruka was a yawning mess.
"Want gum?"
She took the gum from Mei and started to chew on it. Usually she would get at least enough rest for the next day, but that night she didn't sleep a wink. All that time was used to make up ways to avoid Kenma and pretend like nothing happened.
Her thoughts were flooding again but was soon interrupted by Kuroo and Kenma entering class.
"and so I forgot my backpack at home and thats why I feel like its a good time to go home early!" Haruka stands up and made her way to leave but the teacher had grabbed the collar of her shirt
"Ms Sasaki nice of you to join us."
I was so close to leaving Haruka groans
She walks back to her seat and tries to pay attention to the lesson but her eyes betrayed by occasional looking at Kenma. Her thoughts were all over the place.
Kenma was trying to pay attention in class but he couldn't help but feel burning holes through the back of his head.
Class ends with the teacher giving out some papers for the unexpected camping trip that was this Friday. It was a paper that had things to bring and another for parents signature.
"Guys! We should definitely have a sleepover the night before the camping trip!"
"Did you really just plan ahead already Mei?"
"Shush were going to do it anyways."
Izumi laughs at how Mei was so excited, "I wonder if its a cabin or actual tents."
The three were too caught up in the conversation, that they hadn't notice Haruka zoning out. She was freaking out because Kenma made eye contact with her before he left the class. She didn't know whether to be embarrassed or flustered.
