TW: Death and 'bloody' descriptions.

This was the most traumatizing day for the Grey twins. Because this was the day of their demise.

The twins were on a camping trip far from home with their parents, and Julia had suggested that she and Oliver could go to the woods to play there for a while, since they didn't have anything better to do. Oliver was slightly hesitant, but after a bit of persuasion and reassurance from his determined sister, he agreed.

They did play together in the woods for a while, until they saw something that made their heart skip a beat: a large, snarling black panther with angry purple eyes.

"I don't think this was here before..." Julia said, staring wide-eyed at the panther. Oliver shook his head in agreement. The panther snarled even louder.

"RUN!"

The twins bolted as far as they could from the panther. The panther pursued, and it was very fast, so the twins had to force themselves to run faster than they ever had in their life.

Finally, they came to a cliff. They had nowhere to go. The panther appeared, and the twins knew they were cornered.

Julia tried to shield Oliver, standing in front of him and glaring at the panther. "You- You stay back, you nasty cat!" She exclaimed, but of course, the panther wasn't fazed. The panther swiped at the little girl, and with that simple swipe, it sent Julia off the cliff.

Oliver stood there, frozen in shock. The panther took that as an opportunity to attack. It clawed at Oliver's left eye, making him whimper in pain. He clamped his hand over his injured eye. The panther pounced on him, making Oliver topple over. The panther didn't try to injure Oliver everywhere. It raked one of Oliver's hands, and for the grand finale, it raked Oliver's chest especially hard to the point it was so badly injured it somehow forced his heart to stop working. Waves of crimson leaked out, forming a pool around the dead boy's body. The panther licked some of the blood, then retreated into the woods, leaving Oliver's body there.

That was the end of the twins.

For the moment.

(Written in Oliver's POV, third person.)

Oliver woke up in a black room. He looked around and just noticed his sister beside him.

"Julia?" He said, in surprise. He thought she was dead after falling off that cliff.

Julia turned to him. "Oliver!" She exclaimed, and immediately threw herself onto him. Oliver reciprocated. No matter how annoying his sister can be, he was happy to see her again.

After they pulled away from the hug, they examined each other. Oliver noticed the fact that Julia's head was bleeding badly, and one of her legs somehow has a soaked bandage. He knew he wasn't in great shape either. He didn't feel his wounds, however.

"Where exactly are we?" Julia wondered out loud. "No idea. I just woke up here and saw you." Oliver said.

"You're both in a sort of subconscious." A woman's voice replied. The twins turned to where it came from. A brunette woman with a green dress stood near them.

"Who...are you?" Oliver asked. "You may call me The Keeper. I have appeared to both of you since you're both dead, and there are some things you need to get used to." The woman replied.

"Ooh! So is this a gateway to Heaven? Why don't I see any pearly gates?" Julia said, looking around. The Keeper gave them a look that clearly denied what Julia said.

"No. These days, souls have more trouble reaching Heaven easily, so they end up anchored to the surface of this realm, or in both of your case...end up possessing something." The Keeper replied.

"What are we possessing?" Julia asked.

"If you remember the doll that your mother had made for you two, that's the one." The Keeper said. Oliver and Julia looked at each other in horror.

"But, there is a way to free you and send you to Heaven. You need to figure it out, because I cannot tell you." The Keeper said.

"Why not?" Oliver asked. "I'm not supposed to. Souls with this problem usually have to figure it out by themselves." The Keeper said. "I'm only here to help you with your transition and getting used to being like this."

"Since you two are possessing one doll, only one of you can control it one at a time. Just think of having a physical body and the doll will get your control." said The Keeper. "You can even come out of the doll and appear in soul form. Somehow, you are still tangible to most items, so you can touch things. However, don't be out of it for too long. You need to return to your source, no matter what."

"How do we appear as souls, out of this...doll?" asked Julia. "That needs to be figured out as well." The Keeper said. Julia pouted, but didn't say anything.

"Well, I will send you two out of this place and to your current new body. Good luck." The Keeper said, and Oliver saw black.

(I'll try to write happier OC stories soon. It's just that edgy stuff are always the first ideas to come to mind.)
