Armando sat on the porch of his house, taking in the cold autumn air and letting his body adjust to the temperature. He stood up, taking a moment to shake off his lightheaded feeling and began to walk to the bus stop, waving at Everett in the window just before he disappeared from view. He waited at the bus stop, seeing Annie slowly making her way there, stumbling slightly. She finally reached him and stood next to him, leaning on a pole.

"Morning kid..." Annie yawned out, her ankle length skirt blowing softly in the wind. "How'd...how'd you sleep..?"

"I slept fine. You look like you could use some more though." Armando looked her up and down, seeing her shirt not entirely tucked into her skirt and the first three buckles on her left boot undone. "Everything okay?"

"Oh yeah, yeah I'm great, I'm fine..." Annie yawned softly "I was just up late..." The two of them got on the bus once it arrived, sitting in the back together. Annie yawned again and leaned her head on Armando's shoulder, falling asleep quickly. Armando looked out the window, watching the houses and apartments as they pass by. Eventually, the bus arrived in front of the school, Armando shaking Annie gently.

"Annie cmon, we have to go. Annie wake up." Annie groaned softly and lifted her head, blinking hard. "Up you go.." Armando pulled her to her feet and helped her off the bus, carrying her bag inside for her before they split ways to go to class.

Later that day, the two met up at lunch, sitting together at their table in the corner. They watched Bonez enter the lunchroom, followed by Hex, who was wearing a pink headband to hold his hair out of his face. Bonez sat down, Hex plopping down in their lap, both looking exhausted. Armando glared at Hex, only to be met with a dull expression.

"Hey Bonez...Hex..." Annie mumbled Hex's name and looked down at her tray of food. Hex nodded slightly and buried his face in Bonez's chest. "How was your night Bonez?" They nodded a bit.

"Exhausting." Bonez looked down at Hex and whispered to him. "Go to sleep...it's okay..." Hex nodded once and closed his eyes, soon going limp and falling asleep.

"Armando, you should eat something. I know you don't like to but just eat a little bit.." Annie spoke softly. As upset with Hex as she was, she knew he needed to sleep and didn't want to wake him. Armando took some food off her tray and ate in silence, not making eye contact with anyone.
