"RUN!" Screamed Moon, who had his hands clutched to his face. However, his voice didn't have the familiar gravelly tone to it. It certainly looked like Moon, but it sounded more like...Sun.
But right now wasn't the time to ponder.
I jumped to my feet, darting towards the door of the daycare. I did not want to stick around for what came after his initial shock, especially not when I knew the volatile nature of Moon.
"SUN!" Roared Moon,"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?"
I was almost at the door. Just a couple more feet. It sounded like Moon had noticed that I wasn't there any more from the angry snarl that he released.
"Y/N!" He shouted as I reached the door.
Yup, he noticed.
I quickly slipped out of the daycare doors, my eyes searching the unfamiliar surroundings for a place to hide. Sure, I had been out of the daycare for a couple minutes at a time, but nothing more than a short walk. The sheer size of the pizzaplex dawned on me as I ran through the place; it was huge!
I ducked into a dark hallway, keeping clear from the main room; he'd find me much too easily if I tried to hide there. I turned a corner to find a flight of stairs that led down into the darkness. It seemed sketchy, no doubt, but I'd rather deal with an eerie dark corridor than an angry Moondrop.
I tiptoed my way down the stairs as fast as I could, careful not to make too much noise. It was very dark, almost pitch black when I reached the bottom.
This is a horrible idea. I had turned to go back up the stairs, but I hesitated. Moon was angry. Did I really want to be involved with a hyper-aggressive animatronic with a thing for cruel punishment? I turned to face the dark hallway again.
God, I hate this.
I shuffled further into the void, my eyes nearly squinted shut from how hard I was trying to get my vision to focus. I eventually gave up, resorting to letting my hand drag on the wall as guidance.
Left, right, another left...
My mind drifted away from the task at hand, reflecting on everything that had happened. So it was Sun that cleaved off Moon's tongue...but why? That part stumped me. How was he even able to do that, anyway!? It was dark in the daycare! I knew I'd have to talk to Sunny later about all of it.
But what about Moon?
I shuddered. I had never seen him so outraged before; it scared me to see him like that. On the other hand, though... I shuddered for a different reason as I recalled my 'punishment'. He had been so gentle yet firm with handling me, and he certainly knew what he was doing. After all, Sun had mentioned that it was Moon that enlightened him after the shower incident. How does Moon know, though? A part of me wanted to ask him once he had cooled down, but I wasn't sure if I really wanted to know the answer.
I accidentally kicked a small metal object, which snapped me out of my thoughts as it loudly rattled across the floor. Upon further investigation, I realized that it was a flashlight. I clicked it on, the beam of light piercing through the darkness. A grin spread across my face.
The light flickered for a moment, and then died.
NO!! I mentally screamed as I smacked the flashlight, which didn't turn back on. Damn it! Just then, I caught a noise of something moving in the darkness.
Without thinking, I turned heel and ran as far away as I could. I was certain that something would be down here, despite not having come across any forms of life so far.
I eventually slowed back down to a walk, my adrenaline having finally run its course over the false alarm. I was already beginning to regret my decision; as much as I couldn't trust Moon, I found him to be the favorable choice in comparison to this dark, cave-like system that extended beneath the building.
I should just get out of here. I stopped walking, trying to remember how to get out of here. Wait! I can just follow the...wall... My stomach dropped as I realized that I had let go of the wall in my panicked state.
I was hopelessly lost.
