It was still Sunny's body, but that was definitely Moon speaking through him.
"No!" Sun pleaded, both hands desperately clutching his face.
"Uh...Sun...?" I asked tentatively, retreating to the door. It looked like Moon was winning the battle in regards to the wicked grin that was starting to spread across Sun's face.
A possibly catastrophic idea popped into my head. It was either that or to test my luck running around in the daycare, which had been unsuccessful so far.
Might as well give it a shot.
I hurriedly rifled through the kitchen, looking for something to defend myself with. I happened upon a knife, but I doubted that metal-on-metal would really do anything. I started sifting through all the cabinets. Spoons, forks...spatula? Something else caught my eye- disinfectant spray. I snatched it, quickly walking over to the light switch.
"I got this, Sun." I announced with a false sense of confidence.
Sun casted a sideways glance, still fighting the inner demon. "Wh....What?"
I flicked the lights off.
Sun gasped, finally losing the battle. His figure shuddered as Moon's features conquered his body.
Let's hope he's up for talking.
Moon removed his hands from his face, looking pleased. "You do miss me." He chuckled smugly.
"I did you a favor, didn't I?" I nodded my head upwards at the extinguished lights.
He raised an eyebrow, rising from his seat on the bed. "You listened...for once."
"I'm being good." I corrected, "which means I don't need punishment."
"You don't make the rules around here, starlight." The playfulness in his voice was starting to fade.
"Can we at least talk it out?"
"Mmh...no." He quipped. His sass was beginning to piss me off.
"I didn't even do anything! I thanked you, but you had your little shit-fit!" I jabbed my finger in his direction angrily.
"Watch your mouth." He growled, his mood fouling. I'm not sure if it was the over-exhaustion, but he had struck a nerve with me.
"Maybe I would if you weren't being such a dick right now." I spat back. Moon did not like my attitude by the way he rapidly closed the distance between us.
"Listen here, you little-ACK!" He was cut off by the stream of cleaning solution that met his face. He squinted and held up a hand to defend himself from the sanitary assault.
"No! Why can't you just take a compliment!?" I huffed with frustration, putting a hand on my hip while using the other to keep the spray nozzle trained on him. I internally rejoiced; the spray bottle was enough to keep him at bay. He slowly peeked over his hand.
"Put the bottle down."
"Not a chance." I figured I'd be in some big trouble if I let go of the only thing that kept me from the feral Moondrop.
"Don't test me." He warned.
"This is the only way I get a say in things." I paused for a moment, remembering how we had ended up in this situation. "Why did you want to be here so badly, anyway? It's always a fight between us."
His impish attitude immediately resurfaced, accompanied by a sly grin. "I'm just so very jealous that Sun gets all that attention from you..." he teased. However, the brief glint of softness in his eyes announced that there was some truth to that statement. I felt a tinge of guilt from how I had treated him him for a brief moment. Does he mean that?
I would've felt more guilty if he hadn't seized the opportunity to slap the bottle out of my hand and pin me up against the wall.
