Markus stares at the blood covered coin, running his gloved thumb over it when a door opens and Silco walks in with work papers.
"Sheriff, what a lovely surprise." The man walks past him towards his desk.
"The Hextech wonder boy is on the council now." Marcus informed. He watches Silco throw the paper gently on his desk and sit down on his chair. "And he's asking questions. It's only a matter of time before he finds the truth."
"What is truth, but a survivor's story?" The man opens a lower drawer and pulls on of Jinx's bomb.
"If I'm discovered, we're both finished." Silco places the bomb on his desk and speaks up.
"Good thing you've located proof of the Firelights' involvement." Silco hints, seeing Marcus step forward and taking the bomb in his hand.
"This has gone too far." Markus moves his thumb from under the trigger letting it drop with the clink. Silco raises a brow and hums.
"Hmm? Imagining yourself a hero? One final act to make you the martyr you've always seen yourself as?" The man taunted, chuckling softly.
Marcus looks at the bomb and thinks this over, one pull and he can be free from this. One pull and he can end all this and serve this city like he always wanted. His breath picks up and lets out a yell and pulls the trigger.
"Then what are you waiting for?" Silco's voice pulls him out of this vivid imagination of what he wants to do, but it was all in his head. He sighs and gives Silco one last look before leaving.
"Ah, he's faltering." He sighs when the door shuts and he moves his chair to the side and holds his head. "You two need to weaponize the Hextech soon."
"Once we've cracked their prize, topside will have no power over us." Jinx listens in from up the ceiling beams, one leg up and the other hanging over the edge. (Y/n) in between her legs, leaning back to rest against Jinx's chest and hugging the arm that was across her chest, sleeping as Jinx hugs her tightly.
"I can't do it. Just...give it to the doctor and Kitty would help."
"You two are the only ones I can trust with this, Jinx." Silco enforced, seeing (Y/n) asleep so now addressing the blue haired girl.
"I keep...seeing them. That day...and I know (Y/n)'s been hesitant lately..."
Silco takes in the information and stands up from his seat and fully turns to face the girls, now seeing (Y/n) up and rubbing her eye. "Fear haunts us all, girls."
Silco walks to the door and asks them to follow him, he has something to show them. (Y/n), not really knowing what is happening but hearing that she is going somewhere she gently pulls away from Jinx and climbs down. Jinx follows her actions and follows closely, holding her hand.
It doesn't take long where they made it into a giant body of water all three of them standing in the middle. Jinx crosses her arms and (Y/n) holds her tail to prevent it from getting wet, but seeing as the water was too deep she sighed and lets it go.
"I almost drowned in these waters." Silco starts but gets cut off by Jinx.
"You told us a million times." She whines. Silco turned and walked a bit away from them.
"Vander wasn't the man you thought he was." (Y/n) really didn't meet Vander but Silco had a lot to say about him when she was younger. Would go on long rants about how he was hiding his true "scary" self and (Y/n) really didn't ask any more questions or interrupted.
"Right, he was like a brother to you, and he turned his back, and blah, blah, blah." Jinx lazily comments, throwing her head back and on the feline's shoulder. "Did I miss anything?"
