"I think she went to the restaurant before. I noticed that she was really...acting weird. When I asked what she's doing there, she suddenly left," Lisa narrated.
"When did it happened?" Hae-in asked. "The day Rosé was shoot. You know, no matter how I think about it, the only reason Kai's wife went there is that she knows about Rosé and her husband. Or she knows something," Lisa asserted.
"I told you, Kai's a flirt. Maybe she's assuming that Kai was having an affair with Rosé," Jisoo defensively said. "You think?" Lisa asked.
"Isn't it a little suspicious that on the day Jennie went to the restaurant, it was also the day that Rosé was shot?" Hae-in asked back.
"So you're thinking that his wife has something to do with this incident?" Lisa curiously asked. "It's possible. Hell has no fury like a woman scorned," Jisoo stated.
"No, no, no. I've seen her. And if she's suspecting about Rosé and her husband, she wasn't really angry about it. More than anything, she was more afraid when she went to see me. She doesn't look like someone who can do that thing," Lisa concluded.
"One of the lessons I learned as a lawyer is that no matter how kind a person looks like, there's a possibility that he or she can do bad things," Hae-in claimed.
"Kai, can you hear me? Don't leave me please? We still have a lot of ambitions. I believe that we will still be happy. That someday we will have the chance to have a complete family. So please, wake up so we can start again," Jennie said while crying and held Kai's hand. Suddenly, Kai's finger moved and he slowly opened his eyes.
"Everything looks good. He just needs some rest. I'll be back later to check him again," the doctor said. "Thank you doctor," Jennie said nodding her head.
"You made me worry so much. I almost got crazy," Jennie said excitedly. "How is Rosé?" Kai asked weakly.
"You almost died but she's still on your mind!? Is that how important she is to you?!" Jennie said disappointed. "We are just working on the same project and friends as well, that's why I'm also concerned about her," Kai defensively said.
"Is that the only reason Kai? You had your business meeting with only towel covering your body?" Jennie confronted him.
"I just got out of the shower when she arrived, that's it. Please believe me," Kai convincing Jennie in a sad tone.
"You know, when you were still unconscious, I told myself that I'll forget everything that happened. Because I thought, that the first thing you'll do when you wake up, is that you'll ask for forgiveness because you are with that woman! But you didn't, you even talked about her. You didn't even think what I have gone through!" Jennie said angrily while crying.
"Jennie, Jennie, I'm sorry. I'm only concern for her as a friend. I felt guilty because I wasn't able to protect her," Kai softly said. "Why should I believe you?" Jennie asked.
"Jennie, I swore in our baby's name, that I will never have an affair again. I intend to keep that promise even if we lost our baby," Kai sadly said. "Please never use our baby in your lies Kai," Jennie stated still crying.
"I really didn't. Rosé and I are just friends. Please believe me," Kai said and extended his arm to hold Jennie's hand. "So please tell me, is she okay?" Kai asked.
"She was transferred to another hospital and was still unconscious," Jennie answered while still crying.
Lisa was looking at Rosé through the glass window when her phone rang. "Yes Irene, what's up?" Lisa answered the phone. "Lis, I'm sorry to call you like this. I know you're on leave but can you come to the restaurant?" Irene asked. "I can't. I can't leave Rosé here," Lisa refused. "I know, but I don't know what to do anymore. Two of our employees are still on leave. And can you imagine, half of our staff called in sick this morning because, I don't know, they all went out last night and they caught a bug or something," Irene explained. "I'll just call some people. Is that okay?" Lisa asked. "Lis, we don't have time for that. Tonight is the party and half of our cooks are even missing. I mean, I would have cancel, but you and I both know that we can't afford to lose our clients," Irene insisted. "I will just call you okay? Bye," Lisa said when her mom and dad arrived at the hospital.
"What's the matter?" Lisa's dad asked. "That was Irene. We were short-staffed in the restaurant... and because we have a big reservation tonight," Lisa worriedly said.
"That's good," her mom complimented. "What's the problem with that? You can leave," her dad stated.
"I can't. How about Rosé?" Lisa asked stuttering. "Are you her doctor? Well, I mean, Rosé is well taken care of. We're even here to look after her. And maybe you won't have any reason that you can't take care of your work in the restaurant, right? You know, all I can say is that, just focus on one thing. You don't even have time for your wife. And with this happening to Rosé, you've neglected your restaurant. You must know how to balance your time. You must know how to juggle everything all at once," Her dad sarcastically said.
"I'll be back as soon as I can," Lisa sighed. "Drive safely," her mom said as Lisa left.
"What's with that look?" Lisa's dad asked his wife. "What's wrong with what I said? This is how the world works now. Lisa needs to keep up," her dad explained. "Lisa is doing her best," Lisa's mom defensively said. "No, she's not doing good enough for me. I'm not buying that," her dad affirmed.
"Jisoo," Kai said weakly when Jisoo went inside his room. "I've heard you're already awake...and good thing, no one is with you here," Jisoo said.
"How is Rosé?" Kai asked. "She's still in coma. We don't know when she'll wake up again," Jisoo answered.
"I want to see her," Kai pleaded. "Please Kai, stop it. I intentionally went here to tell you to stay away from Rosé. Don't mess up with their lives. Lisa doesn't know anything. She doesn't know about your affair with Rosé. I already made up all the coverings. So please tell your wife to shut up," Jisoo stated.
"What?!" Kai asked surprisingly. "Your wife went to Rosé. I don't know what she wants. But please, stop it! You've done enough damage. This is all your fault. This is all your fault Kai. From the very first moment, I knew your affair with Rosé will bring no good. And if anything bad happens to Rosé, if she will die, there's no one to blame but you!" Jisoo threatened Kai and left.
Lisa's dad was in the garden of their house and was having a phone call.
"Okay just prepare. I'll fetch you later and we'll have dinner outside. See you, bye," Lisa's dad said and ended the call."Did you heard it? I'm sorry, it's my daughter's birthday," Lisa's dad explained when his wife arrived bringing coffee.
"You know, I already accepted that you have another family. What I can't accept, is how you talk to Lisa about responsibility. Pretending to be good, but look at you? You've neglected your responsibility to be loyal to me and to your true family," Lisa's mom scoffed and left.
