Chapter 21

"Please, just tell me the truth. Does Rosé and Kai had an affair? I will not be at peace until I found out the truth. Were they cheating on us?" Lisa asked eagerly. "No, I was wrong," Jennie nervously said.

"Are you sure?" Lisa asked in disbelief. "Yes, I only suspected them but I don't have any evidence that they had relationship," Jennie answered weakly and stood up. She walked slowly and fainted. Lisa quickly went to her direction and held her. "Jennie!" Lisa said in panic.

"How could Rosé do this to us!!!" Lisa's mom said furiously. "Tzuyu, it's not easy to accuse. You better slow it down. Are you really sure about that?" Her father asked firmly.

"All I know is that, Rosé lied about that guy even though I already saw them," Tzuyu stated. "I can't believe that she cheated on Lisa!" Lisa's mom was so upset.

"Let's wait for Rosé to wake up so that we'll know the whole truth. For now, let's not tell Lisa about this," her dad asserted. 

"Thank God, you're awake. Let me take you to the hospital," Lisa said when Jennie woke up after a couple of minutes. Jennie quickly detached herself that was leaning on Lisa for support. "No, I'm fine," Jennie replied.

"You fainted and almost fell," Lisa argued. "I just felt dizzy. This will just eventually go away," Jennie asserted. "Jennie, you really need to see a doctor. You look pale..." Lisa was cut off. "I already said that I'm okay. So please, leave me alone?!" Jennie annoyingly said and left. 

"I really hope that I was wrong about Rosé," Tzuyu calmly told her mom. "I hope so too. I really felt sorry for Lisa if that's the case," her mom replied. "This incident frightens me. I think I don't want to get married," Tzuyu uttered. "Good," her mom responded and they both laughed at it. 

"What for? Even if Kai had an affair with Rosé, now that he's gone, it's over. So there's no need to tell Lisa about my suspicions," Jennie told Chahee over the phone. "Why do you need to put first the concerns of other people more than yourself even if you don't have any proof? You know in your heart that she is Kai's other woman. Don't you want that woman to suffer too?" Chahee argued. "Kai will not be brought to life even if I hurt her. I don't want to drag Lisa on this. She doesn't have to do with this. I don't want it coming from me the thing that will ruin her life," Jennie stated. "Okay, bye," Chahee ended the call.

"I just want to make sure that you're really okay," Lisa handed Jennie a water when she saw her outside the police station. "I just want to apologize about last time when I went to you at the hospital. I shouldn't have done it. Obviously you've been through a lot. I know it's hard on you. I shouldn't have pushed too far," Lisa sincerely said while Jennie was drinking the water.

"I understand why you did it. If I were you, I will ask too," Jennie replied. "You know what, I remember Rosé said before that I have a strong sense of smell and taste because I'm a chef. In return, I'm weak when it regards to my sense of hearing and sight. I barely listen to her. And when I'm so busy, it seems I can't see her. These past few days people have been telling me, I was completely Rosé's fault. They also suspected that she really had an affair with Kai. But for me, I keep thinking. I believe that, no she won't do it to me. Everything that's happening, I realized that I have my faults in this marriage. If there's someone who has shortcomings in this marriage, mostly it's me. If there's someone to blame, it's me, not Rosé. Maybe I should focus on my other senses, right? I hope it's not too late. I'm sorry if I'm talking too much, " Lisa softly said. "It's okay," Jennie shortly replied. 

"It's just that, I feel that we're the only two people in this world. We really understand each other," Lisa told Jennie. "I'm sorry, but I have to go. Thanks again for your help," Jennie said and left.
