Chapter 66

"I already told you, Lisa will just leave you," Jennie's mom said as they arrived home. "Mom, she won't do it," Jennie confidently said. "I'm telling you Jennie, Rosé will use their baby to persuade Lisa again. And for sure, Lisa will choose Rosé and their baby over you!" Jennie's mom firmly said. 

"Mom, Rosé won't do that," Jennie stated. "Are you sure?" Her mom sarcastically said. "She told me that she's not hoping anymore that Lisa and her will be back together," Jennie asserted.

"Jennie, let's reverse the situation. You are Rosé. You are the legal wife and you will be having a baby. Won't you fight for your family? Will you let your child grow without having a complete family? Jennie, use your head! Rosé is just making you dumb. As what they say, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. And you are that enemy!" Her mom said and left. 

Jennie was listing the pastry orders but can't concentrate on what she's doing. She tried to analyze everything. She recalled on what her mom said. "Rosé will use their baby to persuade Lisa again. And for sure, Lisa will choose Rosé and their baby over you!" She thought about the scene in the condo wherein Lisa and Rosé almost kissed and when Lisa told her about the withdrawal of annulment. She then thought on what her mom said, "Rosé is just making you dumb. As what they say, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. And you are that enemy! Jennie recalled on what Rosé told her. "I'm here because of my baby. I humble myself in front on you because I wanted you and Lisa to be okay. I wanted my baby to grow in a family that is full of love even if Lisa and I are already separated." She also thought on what Lisa's dad said. "To tell you honestly, it is Rosé who convinced us. She said to give Jennie a chance." She recalled what Lisa's dad told Lisa. "Do you see yourself in Jennie? She's so different from Rosé." Jennie can't help but feel sad. 

"Okay we have orders. 1 order shrimp aglia olio, Margherita pizza table 12, 1 spinach ravioli, and chicken cacciatore at table 4," Lisa said while reading the orders in the kitchen. Suddenly Jennie's mom arrived. 

"We need to talk," she told Lisa and face the employees. "Please leave us for awhile. Go!" She yelled. "Guys, just take your break first," Lisa calmly said. 

"Ma'am, what are you doing here?" Lisa asked. "Break up with Jennie," she demanded. "Ma'am, Jennie and I already talked about the baby," Lisa replied. "I don't care what you've talked because my daughter doesn't listen to me anymore even if I told her a lot of times to break up with you. That's why Lisa I came here to talk to you. End your relationship with Jennie," Jennie's mom ordered.

"But ma'am, I love Jennie," Lisa argued. "That's what Kai also told her. But what happened? He broke her heart," Jennie's mom said. "Ma'am, I'm not like Kai," Lisa replied. "Are you sure?" She sarcastically said and laughed. "If you're going to choose between your baby and Jennie, I bet you'll choose the baby over Jennie," Jennie's mom said. 

"Ma'am, I don't need to choose. They're both important to me. They know I would do anything  for them," Lisa firmly said but Jennie's mom kept on shaking her head. "You'll do anything for them?" Jennie's mom mockingly asked. "Of course!" Lisa responded. 

"Probably you know that Jennie grew up in a poor family. She's a good daughter. She was forced to stop in her studies because of financial constraints. When Kai came to our life, I was so happy because I thought he is the answer to us financially. But what he did, he gave Jennie another  aspect of difficulty and cheated on her. Lisa, you're going to be a parent soon. You felt happy, there's also fear, and mixed of emotions for your baby. But then, you also have a lot of dreams for your baby, to raise your baby well and give a good future. I haven't done that to Jennie. Lisa look at me, I don't have anything to give Jennie as an inheritance. I'm just praying everyday that there's someone she can depend on even if I'm already gone. Someone who will prioritize her and someone who will love her completely. And Lisa, that someone is not you. You love my daughter? Let go of her. Lisa please let my daughter find someone who will love her completely. Lisa please," Jennie's mom pleaded while crying.
