CHAPTER 11

TULALA LANG ako habang nakasunod kay Jason.
We've just finished watching Pitch Perfect 2, but I don't think I remember a single bit of it, at isa pa, Jason kept on reminiscing the funny and awesome moments of the movie and all I could do is nod and pretend to know something about the movie.

Here we are now, walking towards a well known restaurant. We sat down on one of the table with a couch.

"Ano gusto mo?" Jason asked

"Ah-" I was about to answer but whispers caught my attention.

"So, mutual na pala ang nangyayari sakanila?"

"Hindi ba siya nahihiya? May kasama siyang lalake sa mall na pagmamay-ari ng asawa niya! My Gosh! Walang delikadesa!"

"Di ba nga wala na sila, may iba ng girl si Lester! From what I've heard the new one is so much better than the old one!"

"Then, why don't they just have a divorce? Waste of time lang naman ang being married to each other pero hindi na pala talaga sila together!"

"From what I've heard, it's Lester's decision not to get divorce, wala daw kasi silang pre-nup" and because of the, napapintig ang tenga ko. Where did they get those ideas?

I turn to look kung sino ang naguusap, and not to my surprise, one is Mrs. Linsinso, wife of one of Lester's board member and a known gossip-queen with two ladies na ka edad niya, i think.

They saw me looking at them, then they smiled fakely thinking na hindi ko sila narinig, I smiled back.

"Wag mo nalang pansinin" Jason whispered to me, I just nodded. Kahit na hindi ko sila pansinin, iyong mga sinabi nila ay paulit ulit sa isip ko. Nabobother ako.

Our orders came, but still those words I heard kept on repeating on my mind na para bang sirang plaka.

The reason Lester's not asking for divorce is because we've got no pre-nup? Could it be true? Does Lester think too little of me?

It's him who insisted not to get pre-nup! But now?! Ganun ba kababa ang tingin niya sakin na iniisip niyang kakamkamin ko ang mga pera niya? I don't want even a single cent of his money kung yun lang naman pala!

"J-Jason, washroom room lang ako" Jason nodded with a weary look but I shrugged it off

I fished off of my bag my phone once I was inside then dialed my Lawyer's number

"Good afternoon, Lorraine! Napatawag ka?" Jae greeted me, not so professionally since we are a close friends naman

"Jae, I need to talk to you. It's urgent"

"Bakit? Ano ba?"

"I need to know everything about divorce/annulment and pre-nups. Every single information I need to know about those two"

"L-Lorraine, wait ha. Divorce? annulment? Why? I-I mean, I know about you and Lester pero?"

"Just, please fix some divorce/annulment papers and and all the info. Then let's meet.. tomorrow? are you free tomorrow?"

"I-I am at 4pm. Fine. Sige, See you tom nlng"

"Thanks, bye" I then look at myself in the mirror.

You're gonna prove him wrong Lorraine, And you're going to forget him and move on.

MY SHIFT today is supposedly 6am-6pm but, since I'm meeting Jae at 4pm, I took a 3am-3pm shift kahit na pagod ako sa paggala namin kahapon ni Jason.
