CHAPTER 5

HINDI AKO masyadong mapakali while cooking our dinner, the incident a few minutes ago kept repeating on my mind. Sa tuwing papasok iyon sa isip ko ay nararamdaman ko ang pamumula ng pisngi ko at pagtibok ng mabilis ng puso ko.

Shit ka, Lester! Why do you have to do that? Halos hindi ako makapagconcentrate sa pagluluto dahil iyon nalang ang naiisip ko. Mahal niya pa ba ako? I felt it in the way he kissed me- just like the kisses we've shared before- pero sa tuwing maiisip ko na baka ang nasa isipan niya habang hinahalikan ako ay si Lily may kirot na gumuguhit sa puso ko.

Nang sa wakas ay natapos na din akong magluto, I went to look for him but he's no where to be seen.

"Lester!" I called out in the living room, nang walang sumagot ay umakyat ako papuntang  second floor. Patuloy ang pagtawag ko sakanya habang naglalakad ako.

"Hmmm?" He mumbled emerging from the laundry room, what the heck is he doing there?! Naglalaba siya?

"K-kakain na" pagpapaalam ko sakanya then I headed back to the dinning. Magkaharap kaming umupo sa hapagkainan.

"God! I missed your cooking" he moaned after taking a few consecutive spoonfuls of the adobo, I just felt my cheeks tint red from the compliment

"S-sa Master's ka nalang matutulog?" I asked him after finishing dinner, and here we are washing the dishes

"Hmm? Eh Ikaw?" He ask while handing me the plate to be rinsed off. Just like old times, I'll gather the dirty dishes, he'll remove the leftovers, then soap it up then I'd be the one to rinse it, just like old times.

"Ako nalang sa guest's, hindi ko pa kasi nalilinis iyon eh" In our house we have four rooms in total, maid's room which is in the first floor, master's and two guest's which are in the second floor. Since I don't usually get visitors and guest unexpectedly, I don't always bother to clean the guest's rooms, I only bothered when there will be. And now, Hindi iyon masyadong malinis, I doubt napalitan ko na yung sheets nun after nang visit nina mama

I heard him chuckled

"Hindi ka pa din nagbabago" at umiiling iling pa siya, kahit nun 'okay' pa kami ganun din ako which caused him to clean the guest's "Sa master's nalang tayong dalawa" halos mabitawan ko yung binabanlawan kong baso sa sinabi niya

"H-ha? Eh..?" Jusko! Lester! Baka marape kita! 

"Dali na. It's just like old times ;)" he freaking winked

"Eh?... S-sige" Naku Lorraine, umiiral nanaman ang pagiging marupok mo. 

After naming maghugas ay dumeretso ako sa master's bathroom para gawin ang evening ritual ko which is maligo to rinse of the dirt my body has collected the entire day, mag toothbrush and mag brush nang hair.

I wore my favorite night clothing, white cotton sleeveless night dress that hung loosely in my body and has a low v-neck line, forgetting I'd be sharing a bed with my 'husband'.

I went out of the bathroom to find Lester only in his boxers across the bed, lying comfortable while flicking through the channels. My face heat up as his eyes travelled to my body. Lorraine! You should've just worn a pyjama! How can I forgot?! I saw him gulp which made me gulp to.

Shit! My face heat up even more, as I register his almost naked body. It's like our first night all over again. So shy to show what's underneath. But proud, almost.

"Ah, magbabasa ka pa ba?" He asked as I sat on my side of bed, he then fixed his position. We are both on our own sides of bed now.

"Ah, oo" It almost shocked me that he remembered that I liked to read a few chapters before sleeping

"Anong babasahin mo?" He asked, I turned to him before answering just to catch him staring at my breast na halos hindi na matago ng suot kong nighties.

"A-an abundance of Katherines" I bit my bottom lip and pretended na hindi ko siya nakitang nakatingin. I settled my attention to the book, I am almost halfway through the book and hopefully I'd be able to finish it before my eyes thoroughly droop away to slumber

"Hmm, ok" From my peripheral vision, I saw him licked his lips. He went back to flicking the channels and I went to start where I left off last night in the book.

I felt the rays of sun in my eyes, waking me up. I slowly opened my eyes laking gulat ko ng makita ko si Lester na nakatingin saakin.

He's looking at me intently, captivating me slowly with his eyes

"M-morning" I uttered out after a few minutes of staring back at him

"Morning" Then his lips slowly curved into a smile

"A-anong gusto mong breakfast?" I asked him, trying to divert my attention from his smiling lips

"Bacons" He answered like a child

"Bacon it is then" I sat up getting ready to get out of bed when he grasp my arm then pulled me atop of him. I felt him brush his lips on my cheeks

"Lets stay like this for awhile" He mumbled before closing his eyes again.

My heart's beating so fast and I can feel my cheeks burning. I'm on top of him and he's held me in an embrace, so tight like he doesn't want to let go of me. Then I felt my eyes slowly droop back to slumber.

I was woken up the second time that day not by the sunlight but with a loud bang coming from our room's door and a constant shout of my name

"Lorraine!" I.. I know that voice!

I sat up so fast my head started to spin, napahawak ako sa headboard ng kama to steady myself.

"Lorraine? What's wrong?" 

"Lorraine! Open this fucking door!"

"Sino yun?" Lester asked

"A-a.. Si.." I couldn't say the words since my head is still spinning, para akong mabubuwal sa pagkakatayo. 

"Lorraine! Open this door! I know he's in there too!!!"

I notice Lester stood up to open the door while mumbling 'what the fuck?'

I tried to step forward to trying to stop Lester from opening the door but the same time the door was opened

"What the fuck?"

"Fuck! What are you-?!"

Was the last thing I heard from them before everything turned black.
