Once Schlatt left Wilbur's office, Wilbur got up from his desk to lock the door. After he'd made sure it was locked, he shut the blind on the window.

He moved back to his desk and sighed. "I thought we could've had something, all my efforts are in vain. That's fine... If he's going to challenge my authority then I'll have to prove that I'm serious."

Wilbur took a deep breath. "No time for panic attacks." He grabbed his pen and a pile of paper and began writing a letter to Dream.

Meanwhile, Schlatt left the area and went to his house. "God damnit Wilbur."

He laid down on his bed and yelled into his pillow. "I want to love you but you're so damn busy being a President to see that. I see your efforts.."

He sighed and sat up. "If that's how we're gonna play, fine. I'll push for an election. Besides, being President for a little bit wasn't too hard. I had a nice time, maybe I'll be President someday."

Schlatt moved to his desk and began writing different letters suggesting an election to the people of L'manburg and those on the outside.

As Schlatt wrote, he got a knock, or twenty, on his door. He groaned and stood up, opening the door to be met with Tommy standing there. "Hey kid, what's brought you here?"

"Wilbur's all locked up in his office and I heard him hyperventilating. You were the last one with him. What happened?"

Schlatt paused to make sure Tommy wasn't mad, which he wasn't, so he pressed on. "Wait, hyperventilating?"

"Yeah, it sounded like he was having a breakdown. I tried to get in to help but he told me to go away so-"

Schlatt nodded. "We had a conversation and then he kicked me out too. Let me finish up what I'm doing and I'll see if I can get to him."

Tommy nodded while fidgeting with his thumbs. "Alright- thanks big man."

"'Course kid, I'll try to talk to Wilbur."

Tommy nodded again and turned to leave. "Tell Wil that I'll be in the van if he needs me."

"Will do, take care Tommy."

Tommy waved and walked off. Schlatt watched him until he was out of sight.

Once he knew Tommy was gone, he took a deep breath and looked at his election letters. "I'll put these on hold. Wilbur clearly needs someone there and I'm not about to abandon him. Maybe I can suggest it to him when he's calm."

Schlatt took all his papers and put them in a specific drawer so that he could find them again. He grabbed his uniform coat and started the walk to Wilbur's office.
