Kris slowly opened their eyes. Their head ached. What happened? All they remember is being knocked out. A face loomed over them. The other person was wearing a visor and had bandages wrapped around his head. "Who....what...." Kris tried to sit up, but they guy pushed them back down. "Hey, don't try to move, you'll just hurt yourself" the man said. Kris nodded. "Who are you?" They asked. "I'm Deimos, and you're at the base" he said. Kris looked around, the room looked pretty plain, just a bed and a cupboard as well as a window. "Where's Hank?" Kris said. Deimos looked surprised "You know his name? Holy shit" he said. "Where are they?" Kris said. "He's fine, just the usual, he'll be out soon" Deimos said casually. Kris sighed in relief, they had not known Hank for long, but they were already worrying about him. The door opened and a second person entered. Deimos looked up "Hey Sanford!" He called. The other man smiled "Sup 'Mos" he said casually. "How are they?" Sanford walked over. "They're fine" Deimos said. "I have no idea why Hank chose this one, out of all grunts, or, er.....things". Sanford stared hard at Kris "What the hell are you even supposed to be?" He asked. "I'm a human" Kris explained. Sanford and Deimos looked at each other, and then back at Kris. "Never heard of em" Deimos said. Kris raised their eyebrow "You've........never heard of a human before? Everyone knows what a human is!" Kris said. Sanford shook his head "No, we have no clue what a human is, and thanks to that, you're gonna have to answer some of our questions concerning that topic" Sanford said bitterly. Kris was taken aback by the venom in his tone. Well jeez, this guy had trust issues. "Cmon Deimos, let's go see Hank" Sanford said as he turned and left. Deimos cast one long look at Kris before leaving
