Somewhere in Dafan Mountain

The juniors—Jin Ling, Ouyang Zizhen, Lan Sizhui, and Lan Jingyi—had gathered for a night hunt. After a long day, they found a cozy inn nearby to relax and unwind.

"I miss Senior Wei," Lan Sizhui said, his voice filled with nostalgia.

"I miss Xian-gege too," echoed Ouyang Zizhen.

"It would be good if Senior Wei were here," Zizhen continued. "Even if he loves to make fun of us, most of the time he lets us learn and be ourselves." He smiled, recalling the memories.

"Don't you miss your Uncle Wei, A-Ling?" asked Jingyi, nudging Jin Ling.

"Of course I miss Uncle Wei," Jin Ling admitted. "I still have to say my sorry and thank you to him..."

"It's alright, A-Ling," Sizhui reassured him. "I'm sure your Senior Wei forgives you for stabbing him."

"Do you guys remember when we were in Yi City?" Zizhen asked, trying to lighten the mood.

"Of course! How could we forget?" Jingyi laughed. "Senior Wei made fun of us so much!"

"How can we forget that?" Sizhui joined in. "Haha, even I got scared!"

"Eh, Young Mistress Jin, you got scared too," Zizhen teased.

"Who are you calling mistress, you idiot!" Jin Ling retorted, though a smile tugged at his lips.

"I remember when we got poisoned with corpse poisoning, Xian-gege made us a very spicy rice soup," Jingyi reminisced, grimacing at the memory.

"That's horrible... I can still remember the taste of it," Sizhui added, shuddering.

"Yeah, but we got cured, right? And it wasn't that bad. You should have seen Hanguang-jun eat some spicy food just to please Xian-gege."

"Really, A-Yuan?" both Zizhen and Jin Ling exclaimed in unison.

"How come I didn't know this?" Zizhen wondered aloud.

"I can remember way back when I was little, back in the Burial Mounds, when Hanguang-jun came to visit us and Xian-gege offered him spicy food. He ate it!" Sizhui said, his eyes shining with the memory.

"Oh, Hanguang-jun must have been in love with Senior Wei at that time," Zizhen mused.

"As far as Hanguang-jun told me, he's been in love with Xian-gege since the first time he saw him breaking into the night holding two bottles of Emperor's Smile," Sizhui shared.

"Hey, during that time they were what? 15? 16?" Jingyi asked.

"Something like that. And during those times, Xian-gege loved to annoy and disturb Hanguang-jun," Sizhui chuckled.

"It must have been love at first sight," Zizhen said dreamily.

"Speaking of, do you guys have anyone yet? You know, we're all friends anyway," Jingyi asked, trying to sound casual.

Lan Sizhui and Jin Ling looked at each other, blushing and quickly looking away. Lan Jingyi just stared at Ouyang Zizhen.

"Is anyone listening to me?" Jingyi asked, feeling slightly embarrassed.

"I-I have," Jin Ling answered hesitantly.

"I might have," Sizhui said, his voice barely above a whisper.

"It's a secret, don't ask," Jingyi mumbled, turning red.

"Hey, we're all friends. Why can't we share? I have someone I like too," Zizhen said, looking around the group.

"Oh, who is it?" Jingyi asked, his heart beating fast.

"Well, I won't tell if you guys won't share," Zizhen teased, smirking.

"Hey, that's not fair!"

"Young Mistress Jin, why don't you start telling us?" Zizhen prodded.

"Stop calling me Young Mistress Jin. Do you want me to break your legs?" Jin Ling threatened, though there was no real malice in his voice.

"I will not stop calling you Young Mistress Jin," Zizhen said defiantly.

The two kept arguing, their playful banter filling the night with laughter. Despite their bickering, they all felt a sense of camaraderie and warmth. Deep down, they all wished that their Senior Wei was with them, sharing in the laughter and memories. As the night wore on, they drifted to sleep, their thoughts filled with the hope of reuniting with Wei Wuxian someday.
