Since their first visit to Yuandao Hong Sect, Jin Ling, Lan Sizhui, Lan Jingyi, and Ouyang Zizhen had eagerly awaited their weekly "night hunts," which were, in truth, secret training sessions in the mysterious and powerful sect. Today was no different, and earlier that day, they had arrived in Yuandao with their usual anticipation and excitement.
A week ago, they had begun learning fire arrow techniques from Elder Kang Xufeng, courtesy name Kang Zhong, who had been patient and meticulous in his teachings.

"You have to focus on your cultivation power and channel it towards your arrows," Elder Zhong instructed, his voice calm yet authoritative.
"Yes, Senior Zhong," the juniors replied in unison, their voices filled with determination. They had agreed to learn under his guidance every time they visited, dedicating themselves to mastering fire archery.
Senior Wei had approved their learning from the sect's experts, but he had made them promise to only use these skills in emergencies and keep their training secret until he said otherwise. This was their way of ensuring they could protect themselves in any danger.

Their next class would be with Senior Sheng, or Teacher Wei Runyu, courtesy name Wei Sheng, Wei Ying's cousin. Senior Sheng could control water and was also a white dragon. He was teaching them how to command and control water, a skill that was both fascinating and challenging for the juniors.
The juniors found their time at Yuandao Hong Sect to be incredibly enriching. The sect's atmosphere was far more relaxed than their own, allowing them to be themselves and learn without the constant pressure of strict rules.
However, Wei Ying was not around. They had heard from the other seniors that Wei Quanbei had returned to the Celestial Mountains and wouldn't be back for months. Despite his absence, the juniors were still thrilled to be able to visit and train in Yuandao.
Gusu Lan Sect
Back in the Gusu Lan Sect, Lan Qiren was puzzled by the frequent night hunts of Lan Jingyi and Lan Sizhui, especially since they didn't join the other juniors and were often accompanied by Jin Rulan from Lanling Jin and Ouyang Zizhen from the Ouyang Baling Sect.
