4 months later

So it's been forever since I've been waiting on Ashton to pop the question but he never did. I'm beginning to think that maybe breaking up with my ex for him was a wrong move. I don't regret breaking with him but a part of me still feels vulnerable because I'm just so used to keeping my true feelings locked in but to Ashton, I opened up and allowed him into my heart. I trusted him with that much of me.
Entering the restaurant, I sat at a table close to a nearby window. Ashton pulled out a chair for me, being the gentleman that he is. I took out my make up bag and searched for my mirror. I looked at myself in the mirror and fluffed my curls. Ashton reached for my hand and said," you're beautiful." I smiled and said,"Aww thank you love." A waitress with long, blonde hair came to our table. She was pretty but not prettier than me.
"Good Afternoon. My name is Sasha and I will be your waitress this evening", she said not looking up at us. What kind of waitress doesn't interact with her customers? She took out her notepad finally looked up. Her eyes met with Ashton's eyes. "Ashton?", she said surprised. "Sasha", Ashton said.
"Wow, how you been? It's been a minute", sasha said.
"I've been good and yea, definitely."
I cleared my throat. "Oh this is my girl, ciara", he introduced.
"Hi", she said. After the whole meet and greet, she came with our orders and we enjoyed our meal. "Baby", Ashton said. I looked up at him. "You know why I brought you here right?"
"Uhm cause we both was hungry", I said causing him to laugh. His dimples showed and I just couldn't stop looking at him. Ashton just makes my heart jump. "You silly but nah. I brought you here to ask you if you would like to officially be my girl", he said smiling. "Awww yes!", I said laughing causing everyone to look our way. Ashton reached over and kissed me. "What took you so long?", I told him. "I was waiting for the right time, baby. Hope you ain't mad at me."

"How could I be?", I said smiling.

After we ate, Ashton dropped me off at home because sadly, he had to go to work. Ashton is the new manager at foorlocker in the mall. He gets paid pretty well. At least he has a legitimate job unlike my ex. Enteeing the house, I was greeted by my little sister, kira. "Your home!", she said running into my arms to give me a hug. "I'm always home, sweety", i said picking her up. "But I missed you, cece."
"Aww I missed you too."

I quickly checked my phone and noticed that i had a missed call by nicki. I called her back. "Hey girl. I just saw that you called", I said grabbing two honeybuns for kira and I. "Yeah. Girl, where you at", she asked.
"Uhm I'm home. Where elese would I be?", I laughed.
"At Ashton's house", she said laughing. "Nah girl, I've only been to his house once. Anyways, I just got home, I was actually with him a while ago. He took me out to eat."
"Aww how cute. You should come over tonight. I'm throwing a movie night at my house", she said excitedly.
"I'll definitely come through."
"Yayy. You should bring Ashton too because the guys been asking for him."
"Ohh... I don't know about that cause he's not getting out of work til 10 & i know he's gonna be tired."
"Well convince him to come please", she begged.
"Okay. I'll try but it's not garenteed that he'll come. You need me to bring anything for tonight?"
"Yeah. I just need fried chicken from KFC. The bucket."
"Okay. I got you. Who all did you invite?", I asked.

"Uhm. You, my brothers, ciara from school,marissa,marcus, stephen and sasha."
"Sasha? Ashton's ex, sasha?"
"Yeah. They used to go out."
"Wow. I like just found that out today."
"Well if i didn't know, no one knows cause she irrelevant. They must've went out on the down low or somethin", nicole said."
"I guess. Either way, I don't want her there."
"Alright. But you know if i invite stephen, he gonna bring his girl."
"I just don't want no drama."
"Okay. I'll talk to stephen. There won't be no drama at my house."
We both laughed, said our goodbyes and hung up. KFC was only 2 blocks away from my house so I took kira with me. The smell of fried chicken filled the store. It smelled so good. Paying for the order, my phone began to ring. It was my baby Ashton. I meantto call him but i forgot. "Hey you," I answered.

"Hey bae. What's going on?"
"Nothing. I'm just at the store buying a bucket of chicken at KFC."
He laughed. "Girl, you know you can't eat a whole bucket of fried chicken by yourself. I know I can but you, you can't. So what's the occasion? ", he asked. "I'll tell you later. How's work going?"

"It's going good. It's been pretty hectic since i got here. That's why I'm just now on my break. Tell me what the occasion is though",he asked. "Well. Nicki called me earlier and said she trying to have a movie night and she invited us. I know I can go but I want you to come with me", I said unlocking the house door for Kira to get inside.

"I don't know baby. You know I get off late tonight and ima be tired as hell."
"I know babe but we barely spent time together today and I want you to go with me. Pleaseee pretty please with cherry on top", I pleaded while placing the bucket on the table.
"Alright. After I get off, Ima go home and freshen up. Then, I'll pick you up. what time does it start?"
"I think 9."
"Alright. I'll pick you up around 10:30."
"Okay. your the best baby!", I screamed excitedly. He Chuckled.
"Alright bae.My break is up, gotta get back to work. I'll see you later."
"Okay love",I said and we hung up.
