Chapter 22

Ciara's P.O.V

After brushing my teeth, I searched for one of Ashton's shorts to sleep in.
"Babe, where's your shirts?",I asked him.
"Look in that drawer over there",he pointed out. He placed the box of pizza on the bed and took a slice. I looked at him funny. "Thought you wasn't hungry", I said putting his baby blue shirt on.
"After that performance you gave me, a nigga hungry", He said smirking.
"Whatever", I said laughing while grabbing a slice myself.
"There's something I been meaning to tell you", he said. I stopped chewing and looked at him. "Chill bae. I ain't cheat or nothing."
"Mmhm."
"My roommate moved out a couple days ago."
"I didn't even know you had a roommate", I pointed out.
"Well he moved out and since we together, i was thinking you could move in with me."
I gave him a face. I mean of course I see myself living with Ashton and being in this relationship for the long run but moving in is something I saw myself doing way later on.
"I don't know... I'll think about it."
"You gotta think about living with me?", He said raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah babe."
He kissed me on my cheek and said," One week to think about it.". I smiled.
"You workin tomorrow?"
"Nah but my boy Stephen throwing a party that night. You wanna go?"
"I don't mind going but if your ex comes out of pocket, Ima beat her a.. just tellin you that now", I said grabbing another slice of pizza.
"You crazy", Ashton said laughing.
"Nah you ain't seen crazy yet. me, Beatin her behind is normal to me", I said.
"You not gonna beat nobody a.. bae. you need to be on your best behavior."
I gave him a 'Nigga you crazy' look. "You sound like a teacher", I said.
"Speaking of teachers, when school open up for y'all?",he said.
"In a couple of weeks."
"Okay cool."
Ashton graduated last year and then he entered into the workforce. Now, I'm left to graduate. I was too excited at the fact that I'll be a senior going into school. Ashton, on the other hand, just focused on work and keeping a higher position at his job. I never heard anything about him pursuing a college education or something. So I decided to ask him about it. "Are you going to college?", I asked.
"Nah. that college life ain't for me",he said plainly.
"So what are you gonna do?"
"I plan to keep my job and hopefully own the business."
"How can you run a business though when you don't know how to run one? Like corporate and financial things are also involved. The stores ranks matter. See, that's where college comes in."
He looked at me and smiled.
"You're right. I got a lil nerd as my girlfriend."
I laughed.
"But you right though. I'll think about it", he said.
"Good."
"You gonna tutor me?",he said rubbing his hands on my thighs.
"Hell yeahh. I don't want no dumb hoodrat around my man."
We both laughed. "You crazy", he said laying down. We watched a movie 'Stomp the yard' and soon after the part where Chris brown got shot, I heard Ashton snoring. My baby was knocked out. After the movie was over, I placed the box of pizza downstairs in the fridge and fixed a few things around the house. I double checked to see if all the doors were locked and they were. I turned off the lights and climbed in bed laying on Ashton's chest, peacefully falling asleep.
