"Hey ma," Fezco walked over to me as I stepped out of my car

"Hey Fez," I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him into a hug as he put his arms around my waist

"You've been sleeping okay?" He asked pulling away

I nodded, "Yeah, Adrian's starting to sleep through the night again so I'm great,"

The 18 month sleep regression had taken a toll on me these past two weeks. I'm just thankful it took place during break and not the school year.

"That's what's up," He looked over my shoulder into the car

"And how's this lil' guy?" Fez reached into my backseat, getting Adrian

Adrian hit Fez in his nose immediately laughing after

"You got me lil' dude," He said, with a smile on his face

Fez put Adrian down and he ran over to the counter

"Adrian!" I yelled causing the boy to stop in his tracks, "Come here bubs," I waved him over towards me

"Where's Ash?" I asked as I kneeled down to Adrian's eye level

Fezco clicked his tongue, "The freezer,"

I held Adrian's hand and walked over to the Ashtray's freezer and knocked on the door.

"Hey Ash," I said as I opened the door

Adrian ran over to him

"'Sup," He gave a head nod

"Are y'all going to the party tonight?" I asked them

The two looked at each other then answered

"We got business tonight but we're popping in later," Ash said putting his bags of pills and powders away

I nodded, "Call me when you get to the party," I said

"Who's going to watch Adrian?" Ash asked, putting the boy on his lap

"My dad, just for a couple of hours though,"

"You need a ride there?" Fez asked

I hated driving to parties knowing how crowded they could be. Being trapped between several cars and having to get through a maze just to leave the driveway or street stresses me out so I always had my friends drive to parties.

"I have Kat picking me up." I informed

Fez gave me a look

"She doesn't drink like that," I answered, "Kat always drives me home," I reassured Fez

Before I had Adrian I would just drive home with whoever offered me a ride no matter what state they were in. But then again, that's the entire reason I got into my current situation.

A car pulled up outside and a couple of people stepped out, more than likely looking for Fez.

"A'ight, I'll see you guys later," I said getting up to give Fez a hug and then Ashtray

"C'mon bubbas, let's go home," I picked up Adrian and said my goodbyes then headed back to my car as Fez talked to the group that walked under the overhang

My phone buzzed on my bed while I finished my makeup

I sprayed my setting spray on my face and examined my body in my full body mirror. I wore a pink dress with a lower chest cutout and that crossed in the front around my neck and tied in the back. I put on my simple black heels and headed out the door, walking down stairs.
