She wasn't suppose to be here for this long. It was too risky for her to be away for this long. But at the same time, she only came here when the cold came in season. When Wisp was their strongest within their element.
"Wisp, I need to go."
"Five more minutes, bloom." The apparition begged, grabbing the girls' hand. A smile on their face as they gazed at her with a soft look. "The wolf pack should be running pass any minute."
"But I don't have minutes to waste." She refuted. "If I don't get back to my body, I'm going to start blooming. Not to mention the teachers are going to get suspicious."
"It takes the human body 24 hours to start decomposing." They defended, floating above her. "Five minutes isn't going to do anything too extreme."
This always seemed to happen whenever she came here. Wisp would start with a cool disposition. One that resonated that of a caring older sibling, that could take on the world for their younger siblings and win with sheer will power.
It would soon change to that of a needy kitten. Always wanting her to stay close to them in this world. Constantly pushing the limit her body could take in this world before her real one would begin to breakdown.
And yet, she didn't have the heart to deny them. Not when she witnessed what they had in life. What they had suffered through in life. What they continued to suffer through as they watched through her eyes.
Longer then she was alive for, they had suffered alone. In a deathly silence that could shake the earth if they released it.
"If you stay, I'll let you pick something from the chest." This caught her attention. They had left many things behind in their death. Things that would eventually fall to her hands.
