Everything was going so fast but the only thing I worried about was Soren.
I looked up at my struggling sister, my vision blurred by the pain... Or was it the tears?
"Let me go." I signed, feeling the hated man try to climb up my body as I kicked him.
"WHAT?!? NO!!!" Thora yelled, gripping me harder as I whistled long, making Blue Thunder look at me, having learnt from being around Soren and I. I snapped my finger and pointed at Soren "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!!" Thora yelled at the blue wyvern was trying to fly after Soren instead of listening to her, sorry Thora, she learnt from me not you.
I will not let Soren die.
"Save him" I reached up, other hand flat against the wyvern and yanked my hand from hers.
"RENVA!!!!" She screamed loud enough for her voice to break, reaching towards me as her wyvern launched forwards now that the weight was gone.
"YOU!!!" I kicked him as he stabbed me higher up, pushing my hand against his face and trying the shove him away but he was holding on.
Even as I fought to let go I kept my eyes on my little boy.
The water was nearing.
But the blue wyvern caught his tail and slowed the fall and after a little, started carrying him upwards.
I smiled, relieved he was safe and looked down at the man and then passed him at the nearing water, I had accepted my own death.... But I won't be compliant!
I reeled my fist back and a fire blast hit him off me, causing him to grab my ankle with both hands, barely holding on as I looked up.
"RENVA!!" I forgot about you.
I reached towards Randi's out held arm as Red was diving towards us but I don't know if they will catch me before it is over.
I looked down, feeling him climb again.
I yanked the dagger out of my leg and with both hand lifted it over my head and slammed into his forehead.
As blood spilt around the hilt of the dagger his eyes widened in shock before they dulled and his grip faltered, letting me go.
I threw my arm up, reaching desperately.
My legs skimmed the water before being pulled up .
My breath was shaky from all the adrenaline, all coming crashing down on me as I let my tears free.
"I got you." Randi whispered, feeling one of us had their arm shaking.... Or maybe both? Both seems plausible.
With some trouble I grabbed the rope and helped her pull me on Red's back, he was always a strong wyvern so between Red and Blue Thunder, Red is the one able to carry two of us.
"Gods don't scare me like that!" She barked before hugging me. "It was stupid but I am happy you came back."
I was a bit shocked and the slight crush I had after suppressing it when I left came back full force, ramming down the gates and coloring my cheeks deep red and hugging back with my fine hand.
I looked upwards when I heard a roar, it was Black, all wyverns like freezing in the air and flying in place, now he is the the leader of them all, being the strongest wyvern of the two to have survived this fight, red flying away from them.
"Sorry."
"I thought you were going to die... I can't lose my first true friend."
"I didn't mean to scare you, I am back, I am home."
"Yes, you are home.... And I am not letting you go."
"What do you mean?" My face was so red.
"It means what you think, we'll have a lot of time to look at the details after."
"Right." I looked away, still red. "Some of these ships are prison-ships for humans too, we need to save them."
"Right."
I helped her turn Red towards the ships and whistled, Black picked up his head and flew towards us.
"DROP ALL YOUR WEAPON!!! YOU HAVE LOST, YOUR LEADER HAS BEEN KILLED!!! THOSE THAT SURRENDER WILL MY SPARED BY THE WYVERN MASTER'S GRACE" Oh Randi stop trying to make me seen much more scary than I am, that title doesn't yet fit me and might never.
Many of the men still picked up weapons but I snapped my fingers and whistled, Black stopped, flying in place and blasted a ball of explosive fire at them.
"I REPEAT, GIVE UP!!! WE ARE THE WINNERS, GIVE UP AND LIVE OR FIGHT AND BE REDUCED TO ASHES BY THE WYVERNS YOU MISTREATED!!!"
The few brave ones that remained dropped their weapons.
It it finally over.
"GO DOCK ON THE ISLAND AND FREE AND THE PRISONERS, WE'LL KILL YOU IF YOU DISOBEY!!!"
----------------------------------------------
We had finally landed, I was so sore and in pain but stood tall as the boats reached the coast, the village gathered on the small beach, watching us.
I was suddenly nervous when the leader stepped out of the crowd and approached us, Randi stepping a bit in front of me which didn't go unnoticed.
"I..." He cleared his throat. "I want to apologize." I lifted a brow, shocked.
"About what?" Randi translated my hand signs.
"Everything.... If it was not for you and your wyverns we'd be dead, I admit it. Without wyverns we'd be dead today, without you knowing how to deal with wyverns we'd be dead today, without your sister and Randi knowing we'd be dead today... Without you coming back to save us when we chased you away we'd be dead. The past is not easily forgotten but I will accept that I have, all of us have, been wrong about wyverns. Thank you."
I could have heard a nail drop as my shock gripped me, not exactly because of what he said but what he reminded me off.
"-enva? Renva are you alright?!" Randi shook me and I looked at her, face pained and extremely worried.
I lifted my hand, it was shaking again.
"Where is Soren?"
