Tell me you don't

One week later
Kira POV
"Paws off, ladies first" I say shooing away Mack and Jayden's hands
"Come on Kira, you only like that rule to apply when it comes the fun stuff "Max says
"I have an idea" Jaden says nudging Mac before whispering something in his ear. I tried to lean in to hear what they're saying but are attacked before I can hear.
"Tickle monster" The guys scream simultaneously before they attack me by tickling me

"stop please. Fine you guys can have the first slices" I say and finally feel them stop after hearing what they were waitng for. They take their time just to annoy me and I finally get to take after five minutes of their lingering over the pizza just to get one slice.
"This is so unfair, I am outnumbered in every occasion. What are we going to do this weekend? I say movie, you guys say go see a boxing match. Two beats one boxing we go." I say reciting exactly what happened the last time we decided to have a group outing, which was two days ago
They look at me with sympathy but I know it's not there to stay when I see a smile emerge from their faces as they look at each other.
"So what you're saying is that you want another girl in the group to back to you up so it won't be such a biased decision what we do on a regular basis" Jaden said
"OMG I never thought you guys would have understood since you guys are boys, but Jaden you really get me" I say gawking a little it's times like these where I wish we were more than friends.
"So let me put this in fewer words you want me to get a girlfriend" he says

"no" I practically scream, sounding super jealous hopefully they won't catch it.

"why not"Mack asks smiling as if he read my mind then I see Jaden put on one of his sneaky grains and know that he was just joking.
"no reason" I say trying not to sound suspicious
"oh really, tell me you don't just love me and can't stand to see me with another girl" he says
I freeze at hearing those words escape his mouth but realize he is joking when he pulls me into his lap and starts tickling me soon after Mack joins in. After a while they stop and I realize I am still sitting on his lap.
"Oh sorry I say rushing off his lap it's okay everybody lags" he says "I'm going to use the restroom I'll be back"
I watch his back as he leaves the table and heads toward the bathroom.
"If you like him I won't be against you guys going out because we all know he likes you too" Mack says most likely after catching my eyes.
"a girl could dream" I say never taking my eyes off of the place where Jaden had just disappeared around the corner. I know I can talk to Mac about anything because he is my best friend but this is something I don't know how to explain in words yet.
Jaden's POV
I really wish she had lagged a little longer she really felt warm on my leg and when I asked her to tell me she did it love me I was actually hoping she would have seen it as an actual question, too bad. I have been trying for a whole week now to keep my feelings for Kyra hidden but she is so hot. I know she doesn't feel the same and gets uncomfortable when I show any signs of affection so I'm trying to keep it on the DL, but I think she just made me hard. That's why ran off to the bathroom that would have been super embarrassing if she found out. I better head back before they realize something is up I walk back to the table and see Mack and Kira laughing about something then I see Mack stand up.
"Where are you heading man" I ask him
"I have to head back to the dorm inspections are today and I have to clean up" he says
"it's my dorm too, I will help you let's go" I say
"it's okay I would not want to leave Kyra here alone"he says
"but I could come---" Kira starts
"no I don't want you coming to help us clean up. It's too much dirty work for a pretty girl like you and plus Jaden I owe you, It's on me, have fun" he says before winking at Kyra leaving. What was that about I am pretty sure it's the other way around and I owe him.
"So do you really want to stay" she asked me
"sure we can get dessert that we can go someplace else if you want" I say beckoning the waiter
"sounds good" she says nervously
"What would you lovely couple be ordering today the Eiffel Tower Sunday with two spoons" the waiter says once she reaches the table
"oh no we're not... "Kyra starts but I cut her off
"Yes that sounds great" I say addressing the waiter before she smiles at me and goes away. Kyra looks up and opens her mouth as if she were to say something but then no words come out so she closes her mouth.
"what" I ask nothing she says twisting a little in her seat.
"so where do you want to go after this. We can go to the park I know how much you love it there." I say smiling at her
"yeah I do partying gets a little tiring after a while and nature soothes me" she says truly looking at peace just thinking about it. The waiter comes up to the table breaking her out of her trance and gives us this Sundae and two spoons.
"you may have to sit next to each other to eat the Sunday more effectively" she says winking at Jayden.
"of course" he says getting up to go around the table to sit next to me
"and can we please have the check we want to get a move on" he says winking back to her she leaves the table after nodding.
"Who calls eating ice cream ineffective" she says looking confused. I laugh and smile and in the direction the waiter had disappeared.
"I thought it was quite funny" I say picking up my spoon.
"of course you did" she says following in pursuit. I realize she is just going to follow my lead so if I never start eating neither will she. I take a spoonful of ice cream and shove it into my mouth. She looks at me in disgust
"are you crazy you can get a serious brain freeze that way"
"I'm perfectly fine" I tell her even though I can feel the inside of my mouth freezing
"whatever you say but this is how a civilized person eat" she says taking a small spoon of ice cream and slowly putting it into her mouth
"that's the amount of food you give a one-year-old baby, who is just starting to eat hard food. Tell me you don't want to try it my way."I say in the most convincing voice but she holds her grip firm and shakes her head.
"Come on baby" I say before I can catch myself and stop she looks at me and seems to freeze but when she sees me making another spoonful she speaks. "that better be for yourself"
"nope I wish" I say picking it up to try to feed her as she as if she was a young child, she shakes her head no vigorously making it hard for me to get into get it into her mouth. "okay I give up" I say slowly putting down the spoon, she stops shaking her head and opens her mouth to say thank you but I managed to slip the spoon in time before she can react or talk. She starts to playfully punch my arms so I try to hold hands and pulled her towards me but she pushes me away. I lift her up a little and let her land on my lap I keen into her lips when..
"Looks like you guys are enjoying the sundae" the waiter says putting the bill on the table. Kira hops off my lap and blushes.
"bad timing Maria" I say taking the bill and put pulling out my wallet
"no I will pay" Kira says pushing my hand with my wallet down
"seriously don't worry I won't even miss the few bucks, you on the other hand can save up for that new car" I say lightly shaking of her hand.
"listen to him. Jaden here could buy this whole store here if you wanted to" Maria, the waitress says.
"Don't be like that Maria you know you could too if you wanted to. That's why I don't understand why you are still working here as a waitress" he says handing her the check.
"I happen to like this job excuse me and not a new one in the family likes to go around flaunting their money Mr. Jay" she says playfully slapping his arm before waving goodbye to Kira and walking away.
"I assume you to know each other" Kyra says
"oh I forgot to properly introduce you guys. That's my cousin Maria, nice isn't she" he says eating some more ice cream.
"No doubt about it" she smiles. I realize she hasn't touched the ice cream again. "do you want to go, are you finished?" I ask her
"yeah I'm ready, I think that whole spoonful of ice cream really filled me up" she says. I stand up and she follows as we walk outside. It is freezing outside but she for some reason she does not seem phased by it. We walk in silence for the first block and I gently brush her hand and hoping she would take a hint but unfortunately she doesn't so I just take her hand in mine.
She looks at me and smiles I bet thats a sign keep it moving, Jay keep it moving before long she'll be all yours.
