Jayden POV
Well it's been a day now since Tyla and Kira came home. They are both in perfect shape and are getting lots of rest. Kira has already declared herself ready for work and will start next week. Only I know what happen that morning to this day and I'm scared out of my mine to address it. Doesn't at least one parent have to have the same blood type as the parent. Apparently it's not so even though every single person I asked said yes it is. Tyla has to be my child, who's else could she be.
Kira comes down for breakfast and j am happy she is not with Tyla.
"Good morning" She says
"Morning, how did you sleep" I ask kissing her forehead
"Fine, I'm feeling healthier by the day" She says smiling
"So I have to talk to you about something" I say
"Not now, I don't want to talk about the accident" She says putting her head in her hands
"No no not that, well not really that. Something that happened at the hospital" I say
"Ok go on" She says
"Well, did a doctor tell you Tyla needed more blood" I ask
"Yeah, but my blood didn't match so they had to take some of yours" She says
"Well that's the thing mine did not match either" I say, that's when her expression completely changes. Then I get a flashback to the nurses face when she saw the results from my blood.
"But one blood type of the parents has to match" She says, maybe I'm starting to think it's true.
"It's not true" I say though I'm not sure anymore
"Jayden for once, just listen to me. It is completely true it has never happened where one of the birth parents don't have the same blood." She says"So are you trying to say she isn't mine" I say fighting back tears
"Something doesn't add up here" She says and then it comes to me. Maybe we were wrong about being wrong. I don't want to say it but I do anyway.
"Aaron"
Kira shakes her head vigorously as if trying to get the thought out of her head.
"No" She says"We have to go" I say grabbing a random baby bag of the counter.
"Go where" she says pulling me back
"To find out if this is my baby" I say running upstairs to get Tyla. She is still super fragile and mentally pinch myself to remember to be gentle. My fun filled baby is gone and has been replaced with a lifeless doll, that wakes up and cries once in a while. But this time when I pick her up she talks.
"Dada"
"I'm not sure if that's my name" I say and regret it instantly. What the hell is wrong with me. This has to be a mix up, I keep saying. I drive to the office and everyone in a while I would say this has to be a mix up.Before we get out of the car, Kira grabs my hand.
"And what if it's not" She asks and I let go and walk away.A/n
