The One

Sick to the stomach (jetlag?)

I wake up a groggy mess. I look at the time and it's 2oclock in the afternoon. I try to sit up but have a crazy headache. My head feels so light but so heavy and the same time. I manage to get up but feel so dizzy I only make it to the door. I feel myself falling but am to weak to even try to catch myself. All I hear is "Pey, come quick" before I go blank.
I wake up to see a bright light shining on me.
"Where am I" I ask
"You're at the hospital" I hear a little girl say
"Peyton" I ask
"Yeah it's me" she says "Aron is outside making some calls"
"What happen" I ask
"You fainted, so we brought you to the nurse, but she said it was just Jetlag and to bring you home to rest. We did but then you kept waking up and throwing up and then falling back asleep so we brought you to the hospital. You might have picked up a virus of some sort. They said they are doing tests and the results should be here soon" She says sitting on my bed explaining. I try to remember any of that but none of it comes to me.
"Thanks Peyton, you don't have to stay with me. You can head home if you want" I say not wanting her to have to babysit me.
"No, I want to stay" she says
"Ok then if you want to, but what time is it" I ask
"It's about 6 in the afternoon" she says taking out her phone.
"Omg are you serious" I say surprised
"I might be only 8 but I do now how to tell time and read" She says
"Im sorry I just feel so moody and sick" I say giving her a hug "Thanks for everything"
"No problem, you do what you gotta do for family right" she says and then I go back to think about my family, no. I don't want to disappoint her again though so I say "Yeah"
We talk for about half an hour waiting for Aron and the doctor come back. Finally they come back. The doctor says that he has to go and get a report of the results printed, so he leaves Aron with us. Aron's body guard takes Peyton down to the lunchroom to get her something to eat and to give Aron and I some privacy.
"How are you feeling" He asks
"Awful" I respond truthfully
"Maybe I should have allowed them to give you the pain killers then" He says
"The what, that was an option and you didn't take it" I say
"I'm just joking I would've but you needed a guardian's consent before they gave you drugs. From what I heard your grandparents should be here soon." He tells me
"Where is Hope" I ask
"She is outside with everyone else" he answers
"Who is everyone else" I ask
"There are a bunch of people from school and apparently this got to TV I don't know how because there were a few camera guys. I don't know why they would want to put a sick teenager on TV." he says. I smile to myself I did get a little famous in Hawaii.
"I want her to be here"i say
"Who" he asks
"Hope" I say
"Ok I will go call her" he says getting up to go. About 30 seconds after he leaves the doctor come in.
"Honey I have some news, I don't know if you're gonna take them as good or bad. But after hearing about all the stuff your boyfriend is doing for you right now I think it may be good news" he says I just look at him, he hands me the file "It's a good thing you're alone because I wanted to tell you first"
"What does this mean" I say looking at the paper wanting to figure out on my own before I turn the page where it would tell me what's wrong. "how could having a disease be a good thing" I ask
"That's the thing it's no disease" he says explaining the charts to me.
"So I am" I ask him after he is done
"You are" he says the minute not Hope, not Aron but Jayden walks into the room.
