"Good. Now go give Lawrence a big smooch for me." She said with a laugh. Did she know? Was she upset about my lying to her? Did Rory tell her?I ran down to Rory's room hoping we could talk.
"Lawrence, you need to grow up, do your royal work, find a princess. I don't care, just stop acting like a child!" I heard his father yell through the door.
Why did they always treat him like this? He was always so kind and sweet, and he does do his work when he needs to. In no way was he acting in any other way then a normal nineteen year old would.
"I'm not Brookes! I know I'm a bit of a disappointment, but I get my work done." Rory shouted back.
"You do not talk to me like that. I am your father, you do not yell at me!" The king yelled.
The door opened quickly and Rory walked out with tears, possibly of anger or sadness, in his eyes. He hugged me and I hugged him back. This wasn't fair to him, not everyone has no childhood like Brookes. I wanted to fix this but I can't. I have no say in if his parents treat him like that or why they do it, but I wish I did.
We ran down the hall to my room so we could get away from his parents and talk privately. I sat on my neatly made bed.
"Why do they always expect me to be perfect?." he said mostly to himself, he sat and put his head in his hands. I gave him a few minutes to relax.
"Hav asked about us yesterday," he said.
"I don't want to lie to her anymore." I say looking down at my lap.
"Then we don't. We'll find a way to tell her." he said

"Hey Ann. Haven is at her fancy dress thing, mom and dad are busy working, and Brookes is reading some stupid book. You want to go and have lunch?" Rory asked, coming into my room where I was working.
"Sure. Where are we going?" I replied. He hugged me from behind and said, "It's a surprise".
He held my hand as we walked to the garage.
The drive was fun. We listened to Queen and sang like crazy people.
"So I did some research on food you like, and found this great pizza place." Rory said with a goofy smile.
"You did research on pizza for me?" I said giggling like a little kid.
"Of course, I want you to have food you like even if mother thinks it's poison." he replied laughing.
We walked down the street to the small pizza place. We sat at a small table in the back. The place was very cozy, mostly candles for lighting, there were couches and chairs, and the wall decor was mostly small tapestries. We ordered a cheese pizza and salads.
After lunch we went to the park.
"I love you, I know we haven't been together long, but I love you." he said and kissed me. When we pulled away I told him I loved him too.
We walked a couple hours longer. It was starting to get dark, and dinner would be served soon. We thought it better not to miss another dinner, and left.
"So what were you two doing all day?" Queen Karolina asked as we ate the fancy soup that had been served.
"I was working all day. Mostly cleaning and planning." I said
"I was... watching movies," Rory said while his father rolled his eyes at the response. I knew Rory would probably be scolded later for what he said, but he'd probably be in more trouble if he had told the truth.
