In the darkest of nights, crickets were chirping, owls were owling and the black mist was lifting higher. The lunar moon glowing bright green, shining in the darkest areas known to man kind. Slowly the light traveled on the land below, lighting every dark corner and crack it could find. Creatures of all species hiding away in the comfort of their own home, hoping the scene would soon pass them by without any harm.

Deep within the forest, in an old dark gloomy cave, green moss covering the walls, bats hanging over head sleeping peacefully. The further you got the darker it became, droplets of water fell into the small poodle causing it to ripple. Sharp stones leading into an old rusty tombstone with a few cracks.

The lunar moon light glided along the moss filled wall causing it to glow, bats fleeing from their nesting place in a rush as the light traveled along the walls, passing through every sharp stone before settling on the tombstone that slowly began to shake. For way down below the most feared creature to ever walk the earth reopened its glowing green eyes.

The first bell went, indicating the beginning of first period and Anaya was way behind. Running through the hall with her books tight in her hold, pressed against her chest. Her breathing was labored a she pushed the door leading to her English class. All eyes were trained on her as she shamefully walked to her seat. It hasn't been the same since everything happened, since she lost the only person that made her life worth living. Since then, her mother had her on shorter leach than usual. Returning back to her home town was far from perfect for her.

"Prince....Anaya PRINCE" Mrs Andrews exclaimed with a light scoff, grabbing Anaya's attention. "Its bad enough your late for my class, Miss Prince. But at least try to learn something, or simply leave my class" she scoffed before resuming her lesson. Mumbling a silent apology, Anaya began flipping her old note book, flipping pass each drawing of her sister. Stopping on an empty page and began to take notes. She could feel hole drilling into the side of her face, yet she kept her head down, focusing on her notes as the teacher spoke. English wasn't her best subject but she did get all A's nothing less.

"I like your drawings" a voice whispered beside her, Anaya tensed glancing over her shoulder to see a pair of baby blue orbs gazing back at her.

"Thank you" she responded, fiddling with her pen in-between her fingers.

"I'm Kennedy by the way" the girl introduced herself with a smile. Her jet black curls hang over her shoulder in short wave, with a bang covering her forehead.

"Anaya" she replied, returning Kennedy's contagious smile. It was one of those smile that never reaches your ears, yet it looks so real anyone would believe it. No one ever catches on though, it looked too real to be considered a fake. Kennedy smiles, turning back to the front of the class while Anaya got back to writing.

"So..... is it you?" Kennedy asked, trying to start up a conversation. Anaya froze, the pen slipping from her shaking fingers. The silent ringing in her ears grew louder by the minute. She could feel the room around her getting smaller, the ringing became deafening as she began to hyperventilate. Floor beneath her slipped away, leaving her in nothing but pure darkness. The vibrations echoed as she glanced around. The only thing she could see was a gray mist forming repeatedly. She couldn't see the cause of the mist, but each time it disappeared it reappeared in the same formation. in the form of an unknown winged creature.

"Anaya!!!!!!!!!" a familiar voice exclaimed, she body shivered and in a flash she whipped around despite the dizziness. She gulped before a smile grazed her lips. But it soon fell as she watched in horror as her sister fell to the floor in pain, her lifeless eyes slowly closing.

"NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!"

Her body jolted up in shock, as a loud ringing echoed the air around her causing her to cover her ears. Her head jolted up to see her English teacher standing under the ringing school bell. Glancing over her shoulder she saw Kennedy giving her a worried gaze. "I fell asleep, sorry" Anaya mumbled, gathering her books and pen.

"Anaya" Kennedy paused, pushing off her chair and walked over to Anaya with caution. "You weren't sleeping" she whispered, pulling the notebook from her grasp and flipped it open to the page it was currently on. Anaya gasped, she had unconsciously drawn the image she had seem in her nightmare. The image of the mist that kept on appearing out of nowhere.

Slamming her book close, she gazed down at her feet, scurrying away from Kennedy and out of the class, ignoring Kennedy's call. She ran as far as her feet took her until she found herself planting face first onto the white tiles. Her books scattered along the floor, her notebook sliding under a pair of black heels.

"Oh dear god, the nerd tripped, boo whoo" Rebecca smirked, gazing down at her with a smug look on her face. "What's this?" she asked, bending over to pick up the notebook, flipping through the notebook laughing at each drawing with her friends Candy and Mandy by her side laughing along. "A bit full of ourselves aren't we" she scoffed, watching as Anaya scribbled to her knee's, grabbing the books closest to her holding them to her chest, her gaze not once meeting Rebecca's as she gazed up at her notebook.

"Trash" Rebecca hissed, gripping the page and tore them out one by one.

"NO!!!!" Anaya exclaimed, tears streaming down her cheeks in waves as the leaves fell all around her. Her gaze falling to the floor, looking down at the last drawing of her sister. It was the day she remembered her sister enjoying their first froyo together. Anaya's body began to tremble, her dark brown eyes hazing over turning light blue as her fox slowly surfaced. Her extending nails digging into her palms.

"Waste of time" Rebecca laughed, throwing the now empty book cover across the hall before strutting away with her group. Blood streaming down her hand, dripping onto the tiles. Tears burning her glowing gaze.

"Anaya" Kennedy exclaimed, rushing to her side. Anaya's trembling lips formed into a frown. Her tears landing on the tiles. "Oh my god, Rebecca did this" Kennedy said in more of a statement than a question. Gathering the pages before helping a tense Anaya to her feet, her head hanging low as they walked away from the wondering eyes of every student present.
