The Apocalypse looked up as Martha entered the TARDIS from where she'd been with her family. "Right, then!" she smiled. "Off we go! The open road. There is a burst of starfire right now over the coast of Meta Sigmafolio. Oh, the sky is like oil on water! Fancy a look? Or back in time. We could . . . I don't know. Charles the Second? Henry the Eighth?" She brightened. "I know! What about Agatha Christie? I'd love to meet Agatha Christie! I bet she's brilliant!" She paused when she saw the apologetic look on Martha's face. "OK," she said simply.

"I just can't," Martha said.

"Yeah," she nodded.

"Spent all these years training to be a doctor," Martha explained. "Now I've got people to look after. They saw half the planet nearly get slaughtered, and they're devastated. I can't leave them."

"Of course not," the Apocalypse shook her head, understanding. She walked over and smiled. "Thank you, Martha Jones. You saved the world."

"Yeah, I did," she laughed. "I spent a lot of time with you thinking I was second best. But you know what? I am good." The Apocalypse smiled proudly at her. "You going to be all right?"

"Always," the Apocalypse nodded, but the answer came a bit too quick. "Yeah."

"Right, then," Martha nodded, giving her a hug, then handed over her mobile. "Keep that, because I'm not having you disappear. If that rings, when that rings, you'd better come running. Got it?"

The Apocalypse laughed, giving her a mock salute. "Got it."

"I'll see you again, missy," Martha winked before heading outside.

The Apocalypse sighed, tossing Martha's mobile onto the console before going around, ready to send the TARDIS off, when she heard the door open. "So you wouldn't mind me staying a bit longer, then, would you?"

Her head shot up, and her jaw dropped as Jack closed the door behind him, smirking. "What?" she gasped.

"Figured I'd stay a bit longer," Jack smiled, walking up and taking his coat off. "Time machine, after all." He smiled softly. "And our brother did just die."

The Apocalypse laughed and ran to him, hugging him tightly. "Thank you!" she squealed as Jack laughed as well, swinging her around. "Thank you so much!"

"Anything for my little sis," Jack promised. "So, what did I hear about starfire?"

"Oh, it's amazing," the Apocalypse promised, bounding over to the console and getting ready to head off. "It's so beautiful, it's - "

She flipped a lever, and a foghorn rang out behind them. They spun, then collapsed when the front of a gigantic ship crashed through the walls of the TARDIS. "What?" the Apocalypse shouted, trying to scramble out of the mess of plaster and dust that had blown in when the ship crashed.

"How did that happen?" Jack asked, spitting dust out of his mouth as he sat up.

"What?!"

Jack moved over to a life preserver that had fallen and flipped it over. His eyes bugged out at the message it read. "Oh, my God!" He held up the preserver so the Apocalypse could see it. "Don't tell me - !"

The Apocalypse stared at the block letters readying TITANIC, then turned to look at the ship that had crashed into the TARDIS. Jack joined her in saying what they were both thinking.

"WHAT?!"
