Returning to Berk was always risky. Dragon's Edge and the dragons that inhabited it, left undefended, were an easy target. However, sometimes, a team of dragon riders was forced to return to their home island to replenish the supplies, without which life on Dragon's Edge would be impossible. Eria finished packing all the necessary herbs she got from Gothi. The old woman liked Eire, since the girl was eight years old she had been taught all the healing methods that only an island healer could teach her. When she had everything, she said goodbye to Gothi and headed towards where the rest of the dragon riders were getting ready to return to Dragon's Edge.
- Okay, now remember gang, we're only talking absolute necessities to Dragon's Edge. - Hiccup turned and looked at all the riders.
- I already have everything little brother. - She attached the bags of herbs to the saddle of her dragon. Firewing was a rather old red one with black Monstrous Nightmare designs.
- Eira I asked you not to call me that. - Hiccup turned his back on Astrid, clearly ashamed, who gave Eira an understanding smile.
- You may be the leader of the team, but you are still my little brother, Hiccup. - Eira smiled radiantly while ruffling her brother's hair. She was a little shorter than him, her dark red hair shimmering like fire in the sun. Her attention was caught by Fishlegs packing more stones into baskets attached to his owl dragon. Sensing that she was watching him, the young Viking turned away, confused.
- What? Berk granite has a nicer finish. And trust me, you want the nicer finish.
- Fishlegs, don't you think that's a bit much even for a Meatlug. - She was about to say something else but was interrupted by her father and Gobber. They looked nervous, which didn't bode well at all.
- Which one of the usual suspects was out sinking boats on their dragon this morning? I have my suspicions. - He looked at the twins. That made Eire curious.
- Sinking boats? What sinking boats?
- Bucket and Mulch saw the whole thing. And don't try convincing me that there's anyone else in the archipelago who could pull something like this off!
Stiock when he wanted to look very menacing. The twins in their usual rather theatrical way began to concede. Eira, however, knew that they had all been together in one place since early morning. So whoever had sunk the boats was not the twins.
- Dad, we've been together all morning. It couldn't have been any of us. I know twins are usually trouble, but even they're not that stupid to sink our own boats - Eira put her hand on Dad's wound, trying to calm him down. Since their mother was kidnapped by dragons, she was practically the only person in the village who could calm the chief down.
- Well, if it wasn't, we have a much more serious problem on our hands. - Stoick walked away, leaving the problem for the riders to solve. They gathered together to find a solution.
- Rogue dragon rider? - Astrid looked concerned.
- That sounds like trouble, very serious trouble. We don't know who it is or why it's doing this. Hiccup, you should take a look at those boats. - Eira looked at her brother, then walked over to her dragon.
- Eira is right - Hiccup got on Toothless. - Whoever is attacking the boats must have left some sort of trail.
Finding a muddled, partially destroyed boat was no problem. Bucket and Mulch never sailed far enough from Berk. They got off their dragons and started searching the boat.
- You know the way I think about this dragon rider, and you know....
- Dagur - Hiccup furrowed his brow as he looked around the boat.
