Being buried in a cave was the last thing on Eira's list. Firewing raised his wing, so she could look around to see if anyone was hurt.
- Is everyone all right? - She checked to make sure her medical bag was still attached to her saddle.
- Define "all right." - she walked over to her friends, checking them and their dragons. Falling chunks of ice and rock can be sharp.
- Why would Ryker seal himself off from the key? - Firewing together with Hookfang ignited, giving light and heat.
- I will tell you why. That fucking bastard locked us in here to take care of the dragon. And then he will come and take care of the survivors. - out of anger, she kicked one of the smaller stones towards the collapsed entrance
- Oh. Awesome. But we're not going to do that, right? - Snotlout squatted down on his dragon.
- If Ryker thinks I'm going to let him get his hands on Snowwraith, he's sorely mistaken.
- Eira is right, if Ryker gets a tooth, Dragon Eye will not be safe. - Hiccup got on the dragon. The rest slowly began to follow him.
- The plan hasn't changed. We grab the Snowwraith and get it away from Ryker. - Eira got on the Firewing and began to head towards the rocky corridor.
After a while, they found a cave where dragons were sleeping. The plan was not to wake them. However, as sometimes happens in life, not everything goes according to plan. The awakened dragons were not happy that someone was disturbing their hibernation. Firewing breathed fire, but the flame was not as big as usual. The frightened dragons flew into the tunnels. Everything fell silent for a moment. The riders rushed off in pursuit of the dragons, hoping to reach them before the hunters. They were wrong. When they flew out of the tunnel, to the surface, they found many broken arrows, bows and dragon cages.
- Ryker may the gods curse him must have known about the burrowing all along. He used us to chase the dragons right into his hands. - Eira looked around, searching for signs of the hunters.
Astrid noticed footprints going towards the southern bay. It was probably where the hunters had left their ship. Allowing the twins to cause a snow avalanche to distract the hunters, the rest of the riders were able to free the captured dragons. Eira noticed that Hiccup and Astrid were acting strangely. She found out what was going on when they all met at the club as usual.
- Hiccup please listen, Heather pretended to join Dagur to get close to him to avenge her family. When she found out about his alliance with dragon hunters, she decided to get closer to him to find out more. - Eira looked at her brother, who hadn't spoken to her since they landed at the base. - Hiccup, would you say something?
- You knew, you both knew, and you didn't tell anyone. We're a team, we can't lie to each other. - She hated it when Hiccup looked at her like that.
- It wasn't a lie. If you knew, then you would have wanted to save her straight away. And that's not what we're about.
- Still doesn't explain why Astrid wouldn't let me take her and Ryker down. We could have captured the head of the Dragon Hunters. - Eira pulled out the dagger she usually kept in her leg and walked over to a large map showing the entire archipelago.
- Hiccup, Ryker isn't the head of the Dragon Hunters. - Astrid relayed the last message she had received from Heather. There was silence in the club. Even the twins looked shocked. - According to Heather, their real leader is somebody named Viggo Grimborn.
- Awesome name. Scary, but awesome. - As usual, the twins started to imagine Viggo quite enthusiastically. However, they were interrupted by Eira, throwing a dagger at the map. The blade hit the island where the hunters had their base last time.
