Simon Minter.

The Sidemen were ahead of shooting video's, so we all had a break.
Me and JJ had made plans. We were going to go to Nando's together. We decided
this a few days ago. Today, we're going to Nando's.

Well, that was, until I got a text.

I hope these plans he had were important. I wasn't gonna question him, because I'd be annoying, right?
God, I don't know. He couldn't even come and tell me in person, but over text.

I decided I'd just go chill in the main room, since nobody's gonna be home the next couple of hours.
But when I left my room, I saw something I think both me and JJ didn't want me to see.

He was at the front door, his girlfriend standing outside. So he ditched me for his girlfriend?
Wow. That's why he couldn't go, because his girlfriend was way more important than I was.
Right, okay.

———

It was just a few hours of him leaving and he had returned.
He was shocked to see me on the sofa, and not in my room.

"Had fun?", I said, sarcastically.
"What do you mean?", He murmured. He's acting dumb, he always does.
"I mean- you went out with your girlfriend? Had fun?", I spat.
"Shit.", He whispered under his breath. I think he didn't realise I heard him.
"Simon- it's not like that I swear.", He pleads.

"Right, yeah. It's not.", I hissed. I rolled my eyes at him and focused on the screen in front of me.
"I just went out with my girlfriend, don't make such a big deal out of it.", He murmured as he walked towards the kitchen.

"Wow. You've been with your little girlfriend the entirety of the week, JJ. Today you and I were supposed to hang out and you've totally screwed me over for your girlfriend. I'm not making a big deal out of anything. I'm just telling you how I feel.", I said, almost yelled. He looked at me, eyes widened.

"If you had a girlfriend you'd do the same, Simon.", JJ spoke, irritating me more every second.
"I wouldn't! If I hung around with my girlfriend the entire week and my- best mate would want to go somewhere, I'd go. Because I would've spent the whole week with her anyway.", I yelled back.

"Jesus, Simon. You don't have to yell.", JJ murmured
I got up and walked towards the hallway.
"We're falling apart, JJ.", I said with a soft tone. I was sure he didn't hear it.

Olajide Olatunji.

"We're falling apart, JJ.", Simon said as he entered the hallway.
Wait, what? We're still great friends?

Well, I just got into an argument with Simon. He was kind of right. I skipped him for Amelia. I've been with her these last couple of days and promised Simon to go get Nando's with him. I just forgot I already had made plans with Amelia. I thought he wouldn't mind. Guess I thought wrong.

I didn't want to go up to him. Not now, anyway.
Why does he care so much? He's my friend. My girlfriend and I already had plans
and I forgot. I don't understand why he got so upset about this whole thing.
It's just Nando's.

I figured I'd go up to him now. I don't want to have Simon be in a bad mood over dinner.
You don't want a bad-mood Simon during dinner.

I got up and walked towards his room.
His door was open and I saw him.

He was holding his head, elbows rested on his knees. I couldn't see if he was crying
or just holding his head trying not to cry. I knocked on the half-opened door. He shot up from his position and there it was. He was indeed crying.

"I'm sorry, Simon.", I spoke gently as I walked into his room.
"Why? I was making the big deal out of it, weren't I?", He hissed. I couldn't blame him for this attitude.

"You- no. I'm sorry for letting you down today.", I apologised.
He looked at me, with no actual face expression.

"You know what? Go get ready.", I smiled at him.
"Huh?", He looked at me, confusion all over his face.
"You heard me. I'm waiting in the main room."

I actually planned a date with my girlfriend tonight. But, considering I've been with her all of this week.
I decided to take Simon with me instead.
Not a date, though..

———

There he was, looking stylish.
"Jeez Simon, styling on us.", I gassed him up.
He smiled at my words, taking place next to me on the sofa.

"Why'd I have to get dressed?", He spoke.
"We're going somewhere.", I said, being very secretive about this.
He rolled his eyes at me.
"When?"
"Now.", I grabbed his wrist, pulling him up. We ran to my car together.
"Jesus, JJ. Now my arm hurts.", He fake-pouted.
"You're being a baby. Now, let's go.", I laughed. As we were driving, music was playing.

"Simon?", I asked him nervously.
"Hm?", He murmured back.

"I'm genuinely sorry for today. I hope I didn't break our bond.", I spoke.
"It's okay, JJ. Don't worry about it.", He replied, smiling at me.
We were stopped by a red light, so I looked back. Smiling just as wide as Simon.

Simon Minter.

"I'm genuinely sorry for today. I hope I didn't break our bond.", JJ said. He sounded so genuine. So real.
He meant it, didn't he?

"It's okay, JJ. Don't worry about it.", I looked at him as he smiled with relief. I couldn't hide my smile.
He's so cute. I really need a therapist, because these thoughts are unbearable.

I was basically staring at him. But once we stopped at a red light, he looked back.
He smiled back at me. My heart melted. We were staring into each other's eyes for so long.
The world around me was forgotten. I felt like I was floating in the clouds. JJ with me
to witness that. What is this feeling? I can't control it anymore.

We were lost in each other's eyes until we heard a couple of honking cars behind us.
"Jesus.", JJ whispered. I was a little upset that out eye contact was broken.
The car ride was quite quiet. I just looked out my window the entire time.

As my eyes were trained on the road, I felt something creep up on my thigh.
JJ's hand.

His hand was caressing my inner thigh, his thumb circling on my leg.
This feeling was immaculate. I couldn't explain to you how much I enjoyed this.
JJ's hand stayed there for the entire ride.
I couldn't say I didn't care.
Because I did.
