A/N: This is set when Ross and Emily get married, basically the London thing but with Joey and chandler. I'm doing the dialogue and stuff that was actually in the series from memory though because I'm lazy so I'm sorry if it doesn't really add up but yeah anyway-
Chandler pov
"Hey... uh Joe?" Chandler tapped his friend on his shoulder, who turned around, "I'm really sorry about before, I was a total Jerk an-and I shouldn't have snapped at you about being all tourist-y," he shuffled his feet, "I'm sorry..." it was the rehearsal-dinner, what was he doing trying to sort this out now? Chandler stared at his friend, for not the first time daydreaming about kissing his smirking lips and slamming his-well toned body against a wall. Ever since New Years he hadn't seen Joey in the same light. Then he tore his gaze away and mentally smacked himself- this was Joey, his best friend, a man. I'm straight, he thought. I'm straight and even if Joey wasn't it wouldn't matter because there is no way I'm like my father.
"It's fine dude, really. I just... I'm missing home so much!" Joey choked out the words and threw himself into Chandlers arms, almost sobbing.
"Alright, how much have you been drinking, Joe?"
"Not much...," Joey said, "I just really do miss home." Chandlers thoughts evaporated into sympathy and care for Joey and he smiled. That was before Joey started crying, forcing chandler to pick him up bridal-style and carry him to their shared hotel room.
"There we go," Chandler sighed, dropping Joey none too gently onto his bed. "You should get some sleep buddy, alright?" He smiled, unable to stay mad at Joey, but only because Joey was his best friend- nothing else. Chandler shook his head to clear the very un-straight thoughts that were starting to form in his mind, but they all came flooding back when Joey grasped his shirt when he tried to go to his own bed.
"Wait Chandler I need to talk to you. We've known each other for years and we don't have secrets, right?"
"Right, chandler mumbled, even though he had a massive secret. He sat down on joeys bed cross-legged and waited for Joey to speak.
"Alright, well you know how I date woman after woman after woman, going from one to the next? Well I've never felt anything for them, any of them. I uh have felt something for one other person though. It's just complicated, you know?"
Chandler didn't get his hopes up, keeping his expectations realistic. "Yeah I do know what you mean, I'm in a similar predicament."
"That makes this really hard to say then," Joey laughed sadly, "chandler I think I'm gay. Because I'm in love with you."
chandler felt like the world had stopped spinning, very aware of how close he was to the other man, how Joeys hand were somehow grasping his own and how some way or another Joey had looked even more perfect, making him blush even more.
Joey placed his hand on Chandlers shoulder but he shoved him away.
"Joe youre probably drunk, you'll feel different tomorrow, you probably won't even remember this," Chandler said, trying to keep from crying, "C'mon, get some rest," he murmured as he jumped away from Joey and draped the covers over his friend. "I'm going to go, you just go to sleep alright?" Chandler pinched his nose as Joey nodded, also on the verge of tears.
"I'm not drunk chandler, or at least not very, and whatever you say or do won't change how I feel about you. If you need some time to accept that the okay, but we need to talk about this tomorrow."
He ran down the hallway, tears stinging his eyes and his breath hitching in his throat. then he collapsed, he couldn't take it. Chandler curled into a ball and tried to breathe. He's drunk. He'll feel different in the morning. He's slept with way too many woman to be gay. He doesn't love me. He doesn't and he never will, I'll only ever be his friend, his gay friend. I'm gay. And I love a man who just said that he loves me and yet here I am, running away. pathetic.
